All good but wished they had available for the guests a teapot/boiler downstairs to make coffee as you have to go out for it. ( we travel with coffee packets to have in our rooms where there is no breakfast offered).

If you can get a balcony you will have a million dollar view. The gardens are also beautiful.

Bed wasn't the comfiest

Spacious room. High ceiling. View from bedroom - castle. Confortable beds and pillows. Easy communication with the hostess. Flexible to leave luggage in order to visit the city. Good advice for breakfast. Old building and furniture. Not spotless cleaning (some dust and old receipts under the bed). Quite expensive for what you get, but cheap considering the other options at this time.

I don't normally write reviews however after reading the reviews myself I was worried about this hotel. The hotel is very basic (you get what you pay for) however we had clean towels every day, good shower and a good nights sleep every night. The view is stunning, a view of the sea and castle. The hotel is in an excellent location, we hired a scooter to get around the island every day, the hotel is very close to shops and restaurants and about a 30 minute walk from the harbour, there are busses and taxes available. We got feee coffee and pastries every morning which was a short walk to a restaurant, this was a coffee and a selection of pastries (there was nothing else but then again it's free!) they were very nice and the coffee was amazing situated in a lovely restaurant. The beach is about a 5 minute walk. The garden area could do with a freshen up, however this did not affect us as we were out every day. There is no pool or loungers but again it didn't bother us as we were out everyday.

We loved the view of the sea from our room, but that’s thanks to location. Simple room in a hotel, which already had seen its good times. Our connection to Salerno was in late afternoon, we were allowed to leave our luggage. A skilled caretaker would be needed to: repair the shower head, paint freshly the walls, etc. the garden is also abounded.

High ceiling, good space in room, room cleaned daily and fresh towels provided. Very close to beach Number 7 bus nearby goes to Port. Beautiful garden with lots of seats. It was so nice to come back to a clean room each day. The shower was a bit tricky and the water kind of lukewarm but we managed. The small balcony had nowhere to sit but we used the garden area.

The hotel is set in pretty gardens which has some nice sitting areas and lovely views. We stayed in a second floor double aspect room with a large balcony. This allowed for a cooling draft to come into the room. The views were amazing, one side to the sea and one side to the stunning Castello Aragonese. The hotel is closer to the Ponte side of Ischia and to restaurants/bars there. The room was basic but spacious and the bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and the cleaning staff were cheerful and helpful. Before we arrived we had quite a stern message telling us what ‘not’ to expect at the hotel. The lady on the desk gave the impression that it had been a long season for her! She did however rectify something in our room very promptly. The room is very basic which may not suit all. The doors to the patio are difficult to secure. The bathroom is small and dated and the shower was difficult to use without it leaking. The hotel is quite a walk from the Porte side of Ischia although this didn’t really bother us as there are interesting things to see along the way.

The location was fabulous and the staff were lovely. The view from our room was exceptional. The room was a bit tired in places (water marks on walls and holes in ceiling). It would have been good to have the option of an insect net over the windows to stop bugs getting in too.
