Excellent location, nice hotel

The hotel is just excellent, and the staff are super friendly and professional. It is conveniently located at the main shopping streets and it turns quieter once the shops are closed in the evening. This hotel is a classic and historic hotel, well maintained with impressive interior decorations. Breakfast buffet was great too.

This was my second stay at the Grande Hotel. I liked it so much three years ago that when I knew I was coming back to Porto, I booked it again. I had a friend with me this time who also loved it. Great staff! Great location, and so many nice spaces within the hotel besides our comfortable room to relax in. And good price! Nothing to dislike.

I loved this place. It was centrally located, very clean, and well maintained. There is nothing I didn’t appreciate!

Location Very small room.
-
Pillows were too big and hard.
-
We had a pair of underwear accidentally taken by cleaning and reported to reception several times to ask if found and never heard back and no apology.

Enjoyed this old vintage hotel, great location and helpful staff.

Great location, classic older hotel in the historic district. Super friendly helpful staff. Clean, quiet, comfortable with excellent breakfast. Highly recommend. Everything was very good. No negatives at all.

My husband and I loved Grande Hotel do Porto! It is located in a prime location right on Rue Catarina, an awesome street filled with cafe’s, restaurants, shops, Mercado and many more. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, especially Ricardo & Antonio always attending to our needs. They are assets to the hotel- definitely! And the housekeeping staff was on it as well as the registration desk. We enjoyed the morning breakfast with much to choose from- and if you need a laundromat it’s right up the street! One of the best things I liked was stepping into the Casa do Chocolate right there within the hotel. I highly recommend Grande Hotel do Porto. It is beautiful!

The building was super interesting and unique

Location. Classical look and good breakfast You can not just Bolt or Uber to the front door so we had to drag our luggage. A big disappointment. Staff did not seem to have an answer. When our private driver came he was smart enough to park in the back service area

Excellent location. Fantastic history We stayed in a suite and there were standard amenities missing like Kleenex, lotion, and free coffee pods. The shower was poorly designed and flooded every morning. The rooftop chairs had a ridiculous design and were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was in a grand room but the food was mediocre.

Breakfast good, pretty good location A little bit dated, creaky floors
-
Beautiful old hotel with great rooms, great breakfast, helpful staff. A bit off the camino but a great place to stay.
-
This old hotel has everything, it’s beautiful, large, comfortable, the staff are pros, helpful and friendly. Nothing

Beautiful 1920s style hotel; one of the halls displays notes from dignitaries who have stayed there. It’s close to lots of stores and restaurants , including a market with local foods and produce. The hotel faces a busy street so if you open the window it’ll be noisy. Good thing there is AC.
