The bed was comfortable. The horrible smell in the hallway. The bathrooms are disgusting, dirty and mouldy. The person at the reception is very unfriendly and constantly gets in discussions and fights with guests.

Loved the location. Very clean. Receptionist was comprehensive and fully engaged in answering our questions related to our stay. Rooms were clean and the beds and bed textiles were new, clean and comfortable. Prime location to the best open street commerce ally in the city. So central that you can walk to the most beautiful spots in Oporto downtown. You can also walk to Batalha Bus station for regional buses ( 70 to 80 km from oporto ). No Flixbuses, for that you need to go to the Intermodal Terminal of Campanhã. Although clean, the facilities are old and with mixed design elements that may not appeal to who values those aspects. Corridors feel labyrinthic but at the second time you pass it is ok. For a seasoned long distances traveler who usualy stays up until 1am is well suited. The bigger downside is its best also: Prime location to the best street commerce ally in town. Noise until 1am at night can be disturbing because of that. I would recommend the owners changing the windows to soundproof ones. The ventilation grid lets direct sound pass to the bedroom. After 1am it is quiet.

Very poor

It was convenient and cheap enough for a last minute booking. Easy to find and check in It is very basic, we didn’t get a key to our room so it stays unlocked all the time. We didn’t get to choose our beds despite being the first ones in the room. And there was no staff member there to check out - not that we had a key to leave but a bit weird. Also there was no hot water at all and the showers are not lockable and mixed gender.

It has an amazing location, staff was super friendly, the bed was comfortable. Just bear in mind that it is HOSTEL, not a hotel. Also, it is probably one of the cheapest in Porto so you get what you pay for. I don’t understand how people expect a 5 star hotel service. The bathroom could be better/cleaner.
