The room is good enough for the price payed. The toilet is way too small. I can not even close the door without hitting my toe.

By far the worst experience I ever had with bookings.com, ever. Owner made the whole process very difficult. He didnt speak any English and his Portuguese was incomprehensible to me. Didnt accept electronic payment and made me go look for an ATM late at night when I had two bags on me, the whole process of getting a key took like 40 mins while he complained about everything. The place was really run down and smelly, the bedroom was super small. I can live with bad quality accomodation but I cant tolerate rude and awful customer service. Stay as far away as you can

Nice old owner, Thin walls

The 80 something owner was kind and helpful. He made a lot of efforts to make sure we were comfortable The place is a little worn out. Its located close to city centre but far from the river and other touristy places. Public transport wasnt that great but it was probably because we visited during holidays

We really liked the people there though they almost didn’t speak English they were very nice and thoughtful. It was clean. The location was okay. I didn’t like the bed, the mattress was old and uncomfortable, the pillows were absolutely impossible to sleep on. Air conditioning didn’t work at all.

decent size room. fairly easy to walk into the centre. hard to reach the hotel by phone. it was noisy - there is no soundproofing as there is a gap under the door, which means we heard the comings and goings of people/tv noises etc all the time.
-
Comfy beds, strong water pressure, cute style, safe enough. Didn’t feel 100% secure - would recommend extra precautions if young or alone, difficult to check in due to lack of instructions and prior communication.

Decent location, about 15 minutes from nearest metro, bus stops closer. Numerous grocery and restaurant options within 10 minute radius. To check in, we rang the street doorbell repeatedly and waited five minutes for someone to answer. Turned out there were people just inside at the reception desk, but no one seemed interested in opening the door. Our room was on the top floor, against the wall with the afternoon sun and it was extremely hot. The aircon would not turn on, so we told reception and they said they would find someone to fix it. We left and returned hours later, but no one had come to deal with the aircon. It took another hour before the owner appeared, and all he did was flip a switch downstairs to connect our aircon. Why was that not obvious to the receptionist? Poor management.
