Remisens Hotel Lucija

The room was newly remodeled. It was very nice. Pleasent staff and very helpful. the smell of the new carpet in the room. It was still very strong.

The room was clean and spacious, with all the amenities you'd expect. We had a sea view, though that also meant our balcony was overlooking the main road, which was fine, because the windows were almost sound-proof. The restaurant had a decent selection for breakfast and dinner. The indoor pool was fairly large. The location is great, with a Spar directly oposite, a lot of the better restaurants in the vicinity and the Portorož beach promenade goes by the hotel and stretches all the way to Piran and further. It takes about 15min to reach the center of Portorož by foot. As for parking, if you go two streets east from the hotel, you can use street parking for Lucija (code 102 on Easypark) and it's half the price of regular Portorož parking (we paid 14€ for 2 days parking instead of the 50€ in the garage/Portorož street parking). The pool water was quite cold, which would be fine for adults, but we were there with our 1-year-old and couldn't stay in the water for more than 15 minutes. The dressing room situation for the pool was very weird though (two rooms with a few lockers and the changing room was just a part of the room divided by a curtain). Also, while the AC worked, setting the temperature didn't seem to actually do anything. We had the option of either having it off and be in sweltering heat during the night or having it on and being too cold and with the draft too strong. And opening the windows wasn't an option either, since we were looking out at the main road. One thing that confused us was that the hotel is advertised on booking.com as being 4 stars, but on-site everything has 3 stars? It didn't really detract from our enjoyment, but it is weird.

It was recently renovated in Spring 2026. The room was clean and it had a nice balcony. The wellness area was clean and spacious. It had a large pool, jacuzzi, kids’ pool and three different saunas. There was also an outside pool in the other side of the road (next the beach) but it wasn’t yet open in May. Breakfast had many options from porridges to eggs and bread. The staff was friendly. The breakfast lacked some fresh fruit and juices could have been better quality.

No parking provided by the htl

Clean environment, friendly staff, and a pleasant dining area. It was required to pay separately for parking, despite the information that it should be complimentary in April. The staff explained that there are 20 parking spaces available for 180 rooms, and only those 20 are provided free of charge. This raises concerns regarding equal treatment of guests.

Beds need to be better

We liked the staff, they were friendly. The room was clean and as advertised. The breakfast was excellent and appropriate for summer times. The pools inside the hotel were great for adults and children. Even the small playground around the hotel was well maintained and save for use. The hotel is walking distance near to the sea. If one is not totally focused, one can get lost the hotel. The parking garage has a very smooth surface, and could be slipper for cars in the wet weather. The parking spaces are quite tight.

There is no free parking. At Booking they say that they have free parking, but when we came they told us that there is public parking garage nearby and we need to pay 20€ per day. That is too much! Solution: We parked our car near the entrance to the marina.

Outdated

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! Although the hotel is old, it is extremely clean and very cozy. The atmosphere was charming and peaceful. The receptionist, Milena, was absolutely amazing – kind, helpful, and always with a smile. All the staff were incredibly polite and ready to assist with anything. I truly felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout my stay.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location along the main promenade between Portorož and Lucija, directly opposite the tennis stadium and the beach. We received a spacious room with a balcony and a sea view. The room was well-equipped, meeting the standards of a 3-star hotel. We also had access to an indoor pool and wellness facilities, and the breakfast was very solid. The staff at the reception and in the restaurant were very friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Everything was mostly great during our stay. However, we encountered a couple of issues: The pool was closed (on one day) at 6:30 PM, even though it was supposed to be open until 7:00 PM. The hotel has a few disabled parking spaces, but they were consistently occupied by vehicles without disabled permits or by service vehicles associated with the hotel.

Clean room with average commodity, very friendly, helpful and understanding staff. Nice diverse breakast and good looking dining room. Nothing really. Mybe shower in bathroom is a little bit old looking, but normaly functional.
