Hotel Mala Strana

The staff everything was excellent

We chose this hotel due to its close proximity to Our Lady of Victories (Infant Jesus) Church so that we can walk there easily with my mom (who uses a walker). We requested (and was provided) a larger room with 2 beds and on the main floor, next to the elevator to reach the breakfast room in the basement. There were 4-foot room dividers between the beds and the tables (along the walls) and chairs, so the room gave a sense of privacy when looking over our travel notes while others are resting. Don't miss the cool sitting area/garden between the main floor and the basement - like a mezzanine area to relax outside your hotel room. The breakfast buffet had both hot and cold items, including fruit, local pastries and delicacies. There were 2 coffee/espresso machines and milk/juice dispensers. The ladies working in the breakfast area were very pleasant (helped my mom when she was getting her items), re-stocked food often, and cleaned the tables promptly whenever someone was finished. Thank you for the hotel umbrellas to use during the unexpected rain. We wished we could have stayed longer than our 2 nights.

The hotel has the best location.

I liked the location, the cleanliness, the fact that everything (including air conditioning) worked as expected without any surprises or disappointments. I also appreciate the hotel's willingness and means to store our luggage before check in and after check out. I like the modern elevator and, in general, the feeling of current building standards despite the age of the neighborhood. It is very difficult to point anything not to like but if I need to mention one detail I would like to improve in my next stay, it would the size of the room: The room felt a bit too small.

Good breakfast. Cleaning the rooms every day. Friendly stuff. Quiet. Not so central location, need a tram to get to the tourist center.

The location in a quiet part of the Malá Strana, but still close to the river, restaurants, and not far from Charles Bridge is an excellent combination of active & peaceful. Rooms are spacious & cosy at the same time. I loved my room's skylights, as well! And the little parlor and patio just down from the reception is a wonderful and welcoming room to drink coffee with friends or colleagues, have some wine, or even get some work done in a comfy space (it's under-used by the guests!) The bathrooms are rather small and could be updated. Should be face cloth in addition to towels, and also the hot rack for hanging towels/wet things on has protruding knobs that can poke you in the small space (esp in my room, where the cover had come off one of them. Toilets could be updated. While I love hotel Malá Strana as a solo traveler, I would prefer upgraded (or larger) bathrooms if I were to come with my wife for a romantic experience. Also wish there were some nice rugs on the floor of the room itself.

Close to tram and tour bus some very nice restaurants near a Tesco just up the road few minutes you are in city centre. Staff really good friendly and helpful clean and comfortable breakfast good we had a nice stay

The hotel is a little old. The location is okay, but a little far from the center or other places. Honestly, this was my first 4-star hotel. But the hotel is like mostly 3 star usual case with minor pluses

Breakfast was ok. Checked all the basic boxes, but if you appreciate variety this is not a good option. It is clean and the antibacterial is appreciated. Location is great. Very comfortable spot, easy to get by tram. Prefer this area over city centre. Castle is fairly close by, you can walk to major landmarks. Bed was comfortable and wifi was good. Felt in a lower category hotel. The general experience felt lower quality than expected. Few ammenities and lack of the good details you have come to expect from good 4 star hotels. Toilet paper was the cheapest available.

Very good location, not far fro Petrin and trams, but near enough to walkto Kampa and Charles Bridge. The room was a bit smaller than we'd expected

Good location, in the lesser Town, and next to the centre. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Terribly small room for two people, with no wardrobe and not many fixtures in the bathroom. For one person it’ve been ok, but two people couldn’t really get about at the same time there.

Location and staff were excellent It was a scam. Advertised basic amenities were not provided

Only had one pillow, which was a bit flat but we did get a 2nd pillow when requested.

The room we booked was spacious and clean. Room cleaning services were available everyday, should you prefer it. Location was top-tier. The hotel was just a few minutes from the tram stops and every site and restaurant we went to were just 1-2 rides away from the hotel. Reception was also open 24/7. Amenities include an air conditioning unit per room. However, we were told that it could only be used during summer time and we had to open the windows at night for the cool breeze to come in. My husband and I are very light sleepers so the street noise woke us up from time to time. We couldn’t close the windows as we found it too warm and the staff at the reception couldn’t provide us ventilators as well. The hotel also provides all-in-one soaps in a dispenser which we found to be way too drying on the skin and tissue paper and a couple of cotton pads that disintegrate upon contact with water/liquid. We ended up buying our own stuff from Tesco.

Loved that they gave us a boxed breakfast the night before our early mornings where w te e missed the breakfast at the hotel.

Great location just a little away from the busy centre!

The staff was discreet and kind. The first room had problems – the door wouldn’t close properly, the door lock was semi-blocked and wouldn’t hold. The second room we were given smelled of cigarettes. Someone had clearly been smoking in the room. The third room smelled of cheap chemicals, probably from cleaning products. It smelled like a hospital. We accepted it because we were tired of running around looking for other rooms. Please note that the whole situation was charged extra. Changing the room… well, no comment.
