About Club Regina Puerto Vallarta managed by Accor
Raintree's Club Regina Puerto Vallarta is the perfect blend of Mexican elegance and style in one of the most traditional beach resorts in Mexico. The resort features two swimming pools and an on-site restaurant. Most units have kitchen facilities and a relaxing view of the ocean or marina. Our units include cedar furniture, electronic safes large enough to hold most laptops, smoke detectors in each room, and GE kitchen appliances. All units have air conditioning, flat-screen TVs with cable, hair dryers, and irons and ironing boards. Club Regina Puerto Vallarta’s Inizio Restaurant serves a wide variety of delicious Mexican and international cuisine for breakfast and dinner. The resort’s Tenampa Pool Bar offers various lunch dishes as well as snacks and drinks. Delicious cocktails and other alcoholic beverages can be ordered at Bar Vajra, Club Regina Puerto Vallarta’s on-site bar.

The fact that you get assigned an agent from the moment you arrived and they harass you thru your stay. They even call to your room at first hour to check on you, it is kind of disturbing
-
Cleanliness, facilities are well maintained, location. Check in and check out times are bad (16:00 and 10:00), and there is no tolerance.

I called the hotel to alert them from Mexico City, and they informed me that they would not have been able to honor the reservation anyway, as no one could leave the hotel or the city. I am still waiting for a refund from the property (who tells me Booking.com is responsible) or Booking (who tells me the hotel is responsible). To be clear, the charge on my Amex was made by the hotel, not Booking--I agree with Booking, but the hotel is incredibly unresponsive.

Beach access and staff

Great pool area. This is a timeshare property. We were constantly asked to attend a presentation. My room was nice but once the waiter heard our room number we were ignored. Great bellmen.

Very clean property. The kindest, most helpful staff at Club Regina! Happy hour discontinued at the pool!?. Updating rooms is sorely needed - very uncomfortable sofas and chairs for tv viewing.

Loved the location, convenience to the Metro, and many food choices for every budget. The apartment is well stocked, clean, beautifully decorated and safe. There's an elevator and a washing machine. I liked everything!
-
Location of resort. Very spacious room. Beach and pool side waiters. No drinking water provided.

Beach and pool are very nice. Close enough to walk to marina and restaurants. Lobby and grounds are kept nice. We have stayed several time and have never had a shower bathtub t like the one in room 272. Very old stained tub and shower. Should be replaced like the other rooms.

Location is really great for our needs. Short taxi for dinner in town/excursion meetups but at the end of the marina peninsula, quiet and little traffic. Plenty of palapas on the beach. Full fridge and outfitted kitchen so a short taxi to the grocery store for all breakfast, coffee and some lunches for the whole stay. All grocery stores in the area are nice, Oxxo at end of drive is reasonable and great for drink/bread/fruit restock. Nice walk to the Marina for more restaurants/some shops. We did the suite, so plenty of space. Built like a concrete bunker so no noise from other rooms, wifi was ok, I rented a pocket wifi for work to ensure good coverage. Staff is super helpful, food on site very good, valets fantastic. Pool area large with plenty of shade. Also very good culinary water on site, no issues with water/ice. AC worked great. Also watched the iguanas in the treetops of the palms from our 6th floor balcony the whole time. Bonus. This is an older location, very clean but some fixtures are tired. Breakfast is expensive, but it's a huge buffet if that is your thing. All food at restaurant and pool bar is fantastic...except the burger. Head to Rte 66 in the marina if you need a good burger. Limited kayak availability - the hotel next door just checks them out to guests, would be really nice to have that option since I was working during the one hour a day...and they were mostly booked full.

This place is beautifully landscaped. The staff is polite, helpful and attentive. The ocean view restaurant is reasonably prices. The proximity to the marina offers many options just a short walk away for shopping and meals. I always feel safe here Our room did not have much of a view

Beautiful place. Amazing staff. Food is bland and overpriced. The fees are a little ridiculous. Don’t get a room on the first floor

Location location location! Safe, quiet, Older crowd, no disco pool music Very friendly staff, plenty of chairs and Palapas on the beach, but you have to wake up and be there by 4/5 AM to claim one! Plenty of chairs around the pool Garbage cans in kitchen need to have lids/tops on them! Sounds petty, but when you have a kitchen with an exposed garbage can, you tend to have flies...a lot of them, annoying. Furniture needs to be updated, drawers in bedroom didnt close properly, couches have seen better days, lampshades are disgusting in the living room.

Beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Aging beauty. Updates needed to furniture and appliances.

Restaurant staff not well trained,

The pool area and the property’s location adjacent to the PV Marina and the airport are the main benefits of this property. The room we were assigned was a bit dated with no kettle, coffee making system, mini fridge or kitchenette, which I thought I had booked, but we were only there for 2 nights just before flying home for Christmas, so for our purposes, it was fine. Nothing really

Our room has the Jetted Tub King Studio King oceanfront is private. Pillows comfy We arrive early room not ready but able to use beach and provided towels Network signal poor Not all Inclusive Our room is way way way back on an old building versus their video on social media sites. The hot tub on the balcony was cool except for the fact that it didn’t drain after the first use and maintenance had to come plunger it. It is extremely old and ran down, the bathroom stank because it has 2 separate drains in the bathroom floor so obviously the old pipes have a lot of build up and gross smells coming out of it. The balcony door didn’t even have a handle on the outside so it was difficult to open after closing while on balcony. The hotel split as it used to be westin regina but now it’s divided in half by a random ass yellow temporary fence and I had to wake up every day to westin guests playing paddel right outside my room however I wasn’t able to use the tennis courts that were waking me up every morning unless I paid 60$! USD. They tried to charge me 50 pesos per minute to make a collect call to master card. They tried to charge me 10$ pesos per minute to make local calls so I couldn’t even make restaurant orders for pickup before showing up in person. The doctors office on site charges 150 USD or 3000 pesos for a consult! Going to a regular doctor for a consult In Mexico is 3 usd or 60 pesos. Honestly felt like somebody was trying to rip me off at every step of the way. The grout on the floor was literally falling out, the shower head has never been replaced since the building was first erected. The shower mats were stained and probably 50 years old as well. This experience was third party embarrassing because how can you honestly be that careless as an allegedly 4 star resort. I’ve stayed at 2 star motels that are nicer. They seemed like they were starting to get some remodelling done from what I saw just exterior paint but they honestly shouldn’t be renting out any rooms that smell like sewage until they are remodelled.
