Bring your bicycle and enjoy a ride around Lake Wakatipu where you can stop for a coffee at the Frankston Marina. The tour desk can help organize activities such as skydiving, bungee jumping and jet boating. Lakeview Colonial Motel has a bus stop right outside. Please note that all rooms are accessible by stairs (no elevator).

We were appreciative of last-minute booking when our plans changed and host communication was excellent. The location was a short stroll to Queenstown and has views of the water and mountains. It was helpful to be close to the airport for a one-night stay before flying out. The venue was run down and on a main road which was extremely noisy (all through the night). There is no loungeroom, rather a very small kitchen area.

Excellent stay in Queenstown. The property was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly located. Our room window view was spectacular, we looked out onto the lake and mountains . Bhuvan was a fantastic host, friendly, and always available to help. He made our trip even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, we would definitely stay here again!

This property was perfect for us, it was quaint and very comfortable with beautiful views. A lovely 20 minute stroll from Queenstown centre. The staff were very accomodating and kind.

Good location only 20 minute walk into town, very clean and beautiful views. The bathroom also has heated floors which was amazing. Lots of stairs up to some apartments but not a big issue

A Wonderful Stay at Colonial Lakeside View, Queenstown! We recently stayed at Colonial Lakeside View in Queenstown to celebrate my birthday, and what a beautiful experience it was! The location is fantastic, with the most beautiful views — waking up to that scenery was definitely one of the highlights of our stay! The room was clean, tidy and comfortable, and the staff were absolutely wonderful — so friendly, welcoming and accommodating. But the best surprise of all was the effort the team made to celebrate my birthday. They decorated our room with lovely balloons and decorations and even surprised me with a complimentary bottle of wine! It was such a thoughtful and generous gesture, and it really made my birthday feel extra special. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable. These little touches truly make a difference and are something we will remember fondly. If you're planning a trip to Queenstown, I would highly recommend Colonial Lakeside View. Great location, beautiful views, lovely accommodation and, most importantly, genuinely caring and friendly people. Thank you for helping make my birthday celebration so special! We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back!

Location! Best view. Breathtaking to wake up, open the curtains and see the lake and Remarkables. Cute room with a balcony. Warm with aircon and electric blankets. Needed in the winter. Car parking too. The stairs LOL IYKYK JKS

The view is brilliant - see the Remarkables, Kelvin Heights, Walter Peak, Kingston, airport. The cleaning could have been better, with more attention to detail.
