Hotel Mesón de Carolina

Location in centro queretaro Room, beds, bathroom is sooo dated and not appealing. Bathroom space is so tiny, even an average height woman will need to sit on the toilet sideways to avoid hitting her knees on the wall. Shower space with the curtain down will make you feel claustrophobic and instead of feeling clean, you will want to shower again having hit the curtain and/or walls while showering. You may want to just keep the curtain open while you shower, but, you’ll get the rest of the tiny bathroom all wet. Take the toilet paper out before you decide to shower this way. Beds, tend to squeak with every move you make. This not just wakes you up but also your partner.

Service We did not have hot water and a TV was not working

The facilities were charming in an old Mexico sort of way. Everything worked and was comfortable. Security was excellent! Parking was nonexistent

Good location I had a budget room on top floor which was very warm (ceiling fan wasn't sufficient to cool it), there were a lot of mosquitos, and couldn't connect to the WiFi in the room.

Great location and only minutes away from the beautiful city center of queretaro with all of its great museums and shops. Great deal for foreign tourists. The hotel does not have its own parking, so if you're travelling in car be ready to find a spot in the streets or in a public parking lot.

Breakfast was good at low price -79 pesos -only 1 cup of coffee -both breakfast & lunch were available for extra price -good value for money. Staff was helpful and kind -available for any questions-hotel was quiet while we were there -not many guests - WiFi not available in room on ground floor -none of them -only in lobby and dining area or on third floor -talked to the reception over & over & only solution they gave was to move to 3rd floor -also rooms quite small for 2 people -no hangers, not one hook on wall in bathroom nor anywhere to hang towels/ clothes -no counter in bathroom -just basic room - okay for short stay Not really that close to historic center -the walking street even though advertised as close

The location in the centre. The entrance to the hotel. Lots of tv channels. Old standard, in need of renovation. Hard bed, grayish sheets. Shower without nozzle, soggy curtain. Could have been cleaner. Some incoming light and noise from outside due to echoes in the large inner court/ entrance hall.

If you need a place to lay your head, the room is basically a bed and a small bathroom. There are no frills or amenities. You have to pay for breakfast. And they give you ONE towel, no hand towel or bath mat, so you may slip coming out of the shower! It is a very affordable place to stay near the Centro if you are only needing a place to sleep. The TV and cable worked really well. The staff was friendly enough. The rooms are NOT clean. Our shower was dirty and no one had cleaned it- soap scum all over the shelf where soap goes. The walls had spiders and webs. No AC, so you had the choice to open your window, but there are a ton of mosquitos.

The rooms were clean and the property was well maintained. The hotel enjoys a nice central location. The WiFi didn't work well inside the rooms I occupied. The staff allowed themselves to be overwhelmed and did things such as take a call while I was asking for the room keys after returning to the hotel.
