Hey I've done some remodeling bathrooms blacks toilet paper holder only one towel rack they had replaced bathtubs with walk-in showers no traps in the sewer has sewer gas smell in the bathroom and could hear water dripping into that drain all night long. Left the tape on the fire sprinkler on the wall that was never removed after remodeling the bathroom to code violations right there. We had our first floor room the outside door did not work and there was a bug in one of the beds I crawled in from outside I'm sure. Had a nice surgery and wanted to stay there for the night cuz we had a early post-op appointment they wouldn't let us check in until after 3:00 or they wanted to charge $35 for early check in. After I surgery I just needed a place to rest. Would never use this place again

Beds were hard. First room-AC didn’t work and had bugs. Clerk wasn’t ready when we got there, even though it was late and had to go “check” our room before we were allowed to enter. Due to AC, we Switched rooms. Second room also had bugs and outside door had gaps. One night our room flooded. Warned not to use the outside door because it wouldn’t lock from the outside. Breakfast was cheap and mediocre. No soda. Juice and milk were served from a communal carton. Eggs were inedible. Sausage burnt. Ended at 9:00, even on weekends. Pool hours were reduced from posted so never able to access the pool. Housekeeping only cleaned room one time the entire week we were there and did a poor job of it. They also woke us up before 8:00 am by repeatedly banging on the door. No “do not disturb” sign offered. Shower floor slippery and not safe. Paint on walls chipping and paint splattered on ceiling and floors from “remodel.” Bathroom fan didn’t work in either room, which is a building code violation. And for extra blankets and told they were out because the laundry lady decided not to do the laundry and lost it. Another patron was robbed at gunpoint while we were there. Parking lot very sketchy and in poor condition. Also full of conex boxes which limited the number of stalls available. Would never stay here again and we would have changed hotels if our fee had not been no refundable. My worst hotel stay ever. Only positive was that the staff was polite, helpful, and professional.

The smell was atrocious. They gave us the key to our room and when we got up to it, there was someone already in it. The next room they gave us had a different equally horrible smell. The employee told us to not use the outside door to the room. Outside noises were so loud all night. Sheets were itchy and the bathroom did not look clean. We cancelled the second night while within an hour. It was just gross.

As my wife and I enter the room we turn on the lights and walk over to the table to put down a bag my wife notice right away little bug running away to hide and then we notice more running around the floor as well, we just held on to everything we came in with and walk out the room and went straight to the front counter and ask to cancel everything and for a full refund. I will never stay at a Econolodge or recommend anyone to..
