Zenobia Beach Resort

Great location on the water near Nungwi beach. Our son (age 9) loved swimming when the tide was in and exploring tide pools at low tide. Snorkeling was decent as well. The on-site restaurant was nice and there are several other good restaurants close by. The facility is showing some age, but is well maintained and extremely clean. The staff at the hotel was wonderful - everyone from reception to cleaning to restaurant. We would definitely come back!

Nothing, was very poor Very poor, nails sticking out of bed which took 3 days to fix caught our legs on it. No hot water for 3 days,despite telling staff about it.

The best thing about the stay was the staff — they were amazing: kind, helpful, and attentive. From Gloria at reception to the girls in service (Rose, Myriam, Rony) and Alex, everyone was top-notch. The room and furniture are pretty dated and have no real style, but they were clean — housekeeping came every day and towels were changed. For the price, though, the place doesn’t feel like great value. If you get an ocean-view room be warned: it’s loud. The rooms are above a restaurant and there’s another beachfront place nearby that has nightly shows and stays open late, so if you want to sleep early it’s difficult — noise can go on until around 12:30–1:00 a.m. Breakfast is very basic with limited choices; the fruit selection is the best part and they’ll make an omelette if you ask.

We spent 6 wonderful days at Zenobia Beach Resort and truly had an amazing time. The resort is very clean, and the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming. The food was excellent throughout our stay — varied, well prepared, and always fresh. We especially loved the juices and drinks, which were perfect to enjoy during the day. The restaurant itself deserves a special mention: it has a fantastic ocean view, making every meal even more enjoyable. A huge thank you goes to Glory, who took care of the guests and made sure everyone was happy. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional, and really made us feel at home. Bella at the reception was also wonderful — always helpful, friendly, and smiling. In general, all the staff were outstanding: always available, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. Their positive energy really made a difference to our stay. The location in Nungwi is excellent, and the resort also made it easy for us to arrange tours and taxis, which was very convenient and stress-free. Overall, Zenobia Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. We felt well taken care of and truly enjoyed every moment. We would absolutely recommend it and would happily come back.

I liked everything to be fair from the room to the food, the staff were really great. It's a little quiet but I guess that works for some people but overall I can't find anything negative about the place.
