Hostel Da Bruna - Botafogo

Because I stayed only one night

Gabriel who works the nice shifts is the best. Good budget hostel.

Hostel has potential but right now is very poor, boring place, noisy, no AC during the day, private room so small, toilet no comments, The value for the money we paid is not worth it at all.

Worst hostel I stayed in during 2 months across Brazil. Cockroach’s in my bed twice and also in my bag storage under the beds. A lot of people living there instead of travelers so was hard to connect with people. Staff were not helpful or never at the reception. Definitely the top 3 worst places I’ve stayed in as a global traveler.

A lot of stairs to climb, to get to check in and more to the room and we were out of toilet paper a lot.

Beautiful hostel, love the vibe of it. Nature intertwined in it. The rooms were a little tight but it wasn’t horrible, it’s a hostel,

Great spot close to urca which is a great place to hang, the hostel is cheaper than others i guess Kitchen was terrible, just please get some pans, bunk beds with insects and the cabinets didn't close

Good location in a nice neighbourhood No one spoke English, even at the reception. They didnt do any effort to help you with your problems or explain anything about rio. The room and 'clean' sheets smell very dirty and old. It was not clean at all, the shower was not working sometimes and splashing everywhere. The door of the toilet didnt close properly, and the room door couldnt even be locked. There was a fan at least, so that was comfortabel and they had storage for your luggage (take your own lock tho!), but first thing i saw when i arrived was a cokroach walking on the sheets of someones bed. Not a nice way to start my trip. I expected it to be bad because the price was very good. But i did not expect it this horrible.

What a geat View!

Great atmosphere and music playing. They have a cat!! The room was a good size and they had a nice big fan. When changing the temperature on the showers head we kept getting electric shocks from it.

Good location in Botafogo near to a convenient store and also to Shopping Rio Sul. The vibe at the hostel is a very good one

Nice location in Botafogo, Big spaces inside the hostel, nice rooftop for yoga and activities, nice guests inside the hostel Water was leaking from the ceiling into the bathroom making everything wet and dirty everyday even if the staff was cleaning. Toilet paper was missing almost everyday. Beds are very close to each other and not suited for tall people. Kitchen is missing a lot of equipement and making cooking a random experience

The outdoor area is fantastic (hammocks!), nice kitchen, lots of sitting, pool table, really good wifi The dorm room beds are kinda trash. There's nothing separating you from the bed next to you so you may end up touching stranger's feets by accident during the night. It's super weird.

It was a great pleasure to stay in the hostel da Bruna. All the staff was super helpful and friendly, rooms were quiet and there is a great view from the terasse. Good location for somebody who likes to go out but also looks for a place to relax in between.

I got robbed and sick and Gabriella came into my room and threeated ro throw me out I had to pay a over price so I could stay 1 more day cause there were no way I could even move that day. I've seen her for 3 w at the hostel and she never dies anything anyway. I think most employees r afraid of her because they agreed with me about her behavior
