The location is AMAZING. You will get to the beach in a fell steps. The famous street Dias Ferreira is in a walking distance as well. You can find groceries, food, restaurants and everything around. Beds are private, really nice. Air conditioning wasn’t working. Showers doesn’t have warm water. The main door is also not really working. The staff is incredible, but the manager is rude.

The hostel isn't bad, has plenty of balconies and big bunk beds with curtains. The biggest downside is that the rooms get too hot and they only turn on air conditioner from 10pm to 8am.

Staff was great!

Only the Location. The mattresses were very old, bad and very uncomfortable. The hostel In for days It was no clean , rooms and bathroom very old and very dirty The kitchen was very small , dirty and with very old kitchen utensils. An official named Freddy who worked at night, would come into the room with a flashlight every so often to bother us and not let us sleep. ???

Really well located nearby the beach & good places to eat/drink in Leblon. The staff speaks English & is super friendly! Noisy at night because of the bar/restaurant on the ground floor. The bathrooms should be renovated…

Location an the receptionists are nice and friendly. Gabriel and Raphael are super nice. The manager pressure and restrictions. I wasnt told I couldn’t leave our luggage after 4pm or even use the bathroom. I didn’t feel welcome by those restrictions and pressure. They have a deposit fee of 50 bucks (with limited options of payment only credit or cash)for no reason in my opinion since the place has not a big structure.

The location is INCREDIBLE!!! I went to the beach everyday, honestly it was hard to NOT go to the beach. It is also very close to a cool restaurant that has live music on Saturdays. The staff is great and I would for sure go back! The beds were those plastic covered mattresses, which I find SUPER uncomfortable, but it's a hostel and sometimes that's what you get. You also need to be buzzed in in order to enter. This was only an issue one time and I was trapped outside for about 15 minutes buzzing until another guest let me in. But I was there for 5 days and that only happened once.

Great location, great restaurant downstairs! Samantha and Carlos were very helpful in navigating Rio! The hostel is only a block away from leblon beach. The Wi-Fi was good and the showers upstairs were hot. Carlos went above and beyond by showing me places near the hostel to get an adapter so my devices would work! The mall nearby has a great burger place called Hell's burgers! It's the best burger that I've eaten in South America! The beds have plenty of space and curtains! The 10-bed room had a fantastic balcony! I could not get the showers downstairs to have hot water, but they were working on that issue when I was leaving.

The rooms are really small and they've put 9 beds in a single room. I've travelled in many hostels and i like multiple bed rooms in general but in this hostel, the room felt like a chamber with almost no area to sit and put any of your stuff. They don't even provide locks for the security of their clients bags. that shows their clear neglience towards their client safety. I'd never go back there. Horrible experience!

the mattress aren’t great but normal for a hostel dorm.

Close to the beach, dorm beds all have outlets and privacy curtains, helpful staff. Terribly equipped kitchen: no pans, no can opener, no kettle, only one portable burner that won't stay on consistently. It seems dodgy that the AC is way too cold at night and blankets are rented.
