    Great experience!

The location is fantastic. Copacabana Beach is only a couple of blocks away, and the metro is just around the corner To be honest, I can’t think of anything. The rooms are comfortable and clean, there’s a TV with streaming services, and the showers have hot water. It’s a really great hostel!

The rooms are very big, they have nice common areas. Many activities so very friendly. The location is really good, close to a supermarket, and not far from ipanema as well. Short walk to the beach. Matt from the staff was very kind and helpful during my stay!

i enjoyed how close it was to the beach.

There was one person in the staff complaining all the time and generating a bad impression or negative vibe. I dont know her name but I had the bad luck of interacting with her multiple times. Rooms are clean, but common areas are not, (cigarette ends all over the place for days) and could be really noisy in the night.

Perfect place to stay and have fun

  • Engine customer Mar 2026

Location is great but the best part is the friendly staff and the Pura Vida vibes. Lounge, great kitchen, lively bar, free tours... and a quiet space where I could check on my work. Confortable bed and good options for breakfast.

All the activities, breakfast and bar at night . The staff guy at breakfast with the Hat and “Eat,Sleep, Party, repeat “ Shirt was a legend , always so smiley and made my morning everyday All the Girls at reception, won’t say hi , bye , thanks or smile to you every time i check in and check out at that hostel ! It’s quite awkward as the rest of the staff is great .

Very comfy, vibey hostel. Super social

    Everything. I liked everything.

Unfortunately, the new management has increased all the prices and what was once a lively, multicultural and multiethnic hostel has transformed into a common hostel for Europeans only.

I really liked the atmosphere of the hostel, the friendly staff and how easy it was to meet people. The common areas were nice and the location was very convenient. Nothing major to complain about. My stay was short, so I didn’t get to experience everything.

Great atmosphere and location, loved the dance classes and the free tours with Lari and Emily! Will stay here again for sure

Clean efficient and safe, had all the amenities you would need when traveling abroad and great vibes. Hostel has daily itineraries to make your stay there community oriented which is great if traveling solo.

I liked the plastic glass system provided by the reception to avoid unwanted interactions with other guests. You receive a glass when checking in and return it at checkout. The beds are not comfortable. The mattress is covered in a hard, noisy fabric that makes a lot of noise when you move on it. The metal bunk beds are extremely loud, and they squeak and shift throughout the night, even with small movements. It made sleeping very difficult. The bathroom isn’t very clean. There are only two showers and two toilets for the females, which leads to long waiting times. The maintenance also feels quite poor and unreliable. If you’re looking for a party hostel, this might be a good option. There is loud music until late at night, so if that’s not your vibe, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I could also hear the reception bell all night, which was very disruptive. Beds aren’t prepared, you need to make your own, which feels unreasonable considering the overpriced value.

No AC in any shared rooms or even lobby of the hostel (which I think it's a must in hot cities as Rio!), private rooms are the only ones that do have AC. Bathrooms smells bad. Despite location is in a strategic point in between Ipanema and Copacabana, the hostel is located in a street that seems super dangerous (a lot of people sleeping in the street, a lot of motorbikes, "favela" vibe). For the payment, they send you a link through messages, which is weird. Beds are super uncomfortable, specially the ones on top in the shared rooms.

The hostel offers a bunch of staff activities for free. Although I didn’t have chance to join those events/tours, I enjoyed dance(DJ) night on the patio!! The music next door was too loud during the night, but I understand it’s Rio(Brazil) and music/dance is a part of their culture. I should have brought ear plugs when I need to go to bed early.

The hostel has a great location, the staff is very attentive, and there is genuine care for the guest experience. The female bathroom could be larger, the sinks were not good, and it was quite hot.

I loved the location, close to both Copacabana and Ipanema, surrounded by great restaurants, markets, stores, exchange offices, everything you need. The activities at the hostel were always fun, the bartenders were awesome, and the dance teacher Camilo was amazing. Special shout-out to their tour guide Lari, who organized incredible free tours, always shared great information, took amazing photos, and even taught some Portuguese for free. I highly recommend staying here!
