Beside the Vatican

Allesandra was a wonderful host. She was very helpful with restaurant suggestions, well just everything! Durning the day we could message her on Whatsapp and she would respond very quickly. The breakfast was good. She offered many coffee choices, croissants, yogurt, fruit, granola, boiled eggs, meats and cheeses, juice and more. Much to choose from. The room was small, but just as pictured. Allesandra arranged for her husband to drive us to the airport. Very handy! The location was great so many good restaurants to walk to. The buses were just around the corner and the train another block away. Very close to the Vatican but just far enough to not feel the crowds.

The linens and the toiletries could use an upgrade.

Proximity to the Vatican, warmth of owner I was surprised that it’s on a little known “cul de sac”, antiquated elevator that can be rendered inaccessible if someone neglects to close two sets of doors manually

Fabulously friendly and helpful hostess makes this place a winner! Cosy and comfy, a short walk to the Vatican City, lovely breakfast and a feel at home atmosphere....definitely a go back to place just to see Alessandra.

The trip to Rome was a celebration for my wife’s 60th birthday and what a fantastic time we had. Rome is our new favourite, well all of Italy really lol Can’t wait to go back.

My mom and her friend had an absolutely wonderful time here. The apartment was spotless, and the host couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful—she even ordered a taxi for them and gave detailed directions whenever they needed. Every morning, the smell of freshly baked croissants greeted them, which was a lovely personal touch. The place itself is very peaceful, with everything they needed on hand, and they especially enjoyed relaxing on the charming balcony. Lovely experience, amazing stay! n.a.

The outside of the building is not that pretty but the apartment on the inside is absolutely gorgeous! The hostess, Alessandra, is a beautiful lovely person who has pride in what she does. She makes you feel special and right at home in her spectacular Bed and Breakfast!! The outside of the apartment is not the prettiest but once you get familiar with your surroundings then you are fine.

Alessandra was the sweetest host, and prepared a lovely breakfast each morning. We truly enjoyed conversing with her. The place was comfortable and clean. It’s close to St. Peter’s Basilica, but a bit far from the other attractions. There’s a bus stop nearby and personally we didn’t mind, but just something to consider.

Alessandra might be one of the most wonderful people I have ever met. She had fantastic recommendations and was so gracious to us when we needed advice or anything she could help with. If you’re looking for a warm welcome to Rome, Beside the Vatican is the place to find it. It’s a bit longer to the Vatican than 5 mins, but it’s a great quiet location nearby. It can be a bit tough to get to if you’re taking public transport and arn’t familiar with Rome yet.

The property is 5 minutes walk from Vatican and St Peter basilica. The room was spotless, very good bed, quality bed linen, towels, toiletries, wardrobe, seif everything you need. We had a very good sleep is very quiet the building is second row from the main street and have shutters at the windows. The breakfast was excellent, hot croissant, cereals, fruits, cakes, cheese, butter, preserve, ham, eggs, salami, coffee, tea. Amazing hostess we will like to say thank you to Alessandra and Alesia that take care of us, serving our breakfast, giving us all the information's about the city, answering all our questions. We had a wonderful stay and we will come back! Everything was perfect and exceeded our expectation!
