Really great location in Trastevere. Very close to everything with a lot of good food and bars around. External bathroom is your own and just opposite to room itself so it’s no hassle. Price is very reasonable for the quality of the place. Nice balcony to sip morning (free ! ) coffee.

nice woman who cleaned rooms,clean rooms,easy access to Trastevere sights as well as Testaccio,several coffee shops close by-decent vibe overall, no soundproofing,and tho I knew the room would be small,it did wind up just feeling too small to be super enjoyable-one loud drunk guest who yelled and talked loudly all night,the owner was responsive tho-slightly beat up building

Ottima posizione su viale di Trastevere. L'aria condizionata in estate è fondamentale, quindi sicuramente un bel plus, e il letto era comodo. Il B&B è ricavato dentro un appartamento. Le porte delle camere sono piuttosto sottili e non isolate, quindi dal corridoio si sente praticamente tutto. In più, ogni volta che qualcuno apriva un rubinetto o faceva la doccia, partiva un rumore forte e prolungato dalle tubature dentro i muri. Per colpa di questa cosa purtroppo non siamo riusciti a riposare un granché. Non c’è modo di lasciare i bagagli dopo il check-out, ma questo lo sapevamo già perché era scritto chiaramente nella descrizione. Troppi rumori durante la notte a causa delle porte sottili e del rimbombo provocato dai rubinetti.

The bed was clean and the location is very convenient. The breakfast was an old cake and pie that stayed out all day and remained outside for the three days I stayed. It was clear it was the same exact cake and pie because the slices cut out remained the same. Extremely unsanitary. I found a dead bug that was dried into my bath towel. Finally the worst is that the bed is completely peeling and very old, and there is staining on the walls.

I won't be staying here again. The bathroom smelled like a cat piss and sewer cocktail. There was some kind of water pump device behind the toilet. It made a sound like the klaxon from War of the Worlds. And it wasn't just when using the water, it sounded out in the middle of the night as well.

Check-in was simple, helpful host, excellent location, clean room with all basic amenities (air-conditioning, hair dryer, shampoo, safe for valuables). Bonus coffee and tea and other items in communal area. Pillows

The top sheet was a duvet cover. I would have preferred a real sheet.

Perfect location, a short walk to the Trastevere neighborhood and with public transportation right outside the door to get to the city centre. Small place, very clean, really appreciated the counter with tea and coffee available in the common space. And also really appreciated the air con in the Rome heat. Overall great stay, would recommend!

The location, communication with the owner is fast and convenient. Quiet place. The balcony, I would not agree to call this small window step balcony and the main balcony is not allowed. There is a lot of dust in the room.

It's a nice neighborhood with lots of establishments nearby. Convenient transportation. The room looks good. Very noisy air conditioner. That's a big problem. You can also hear conversations from neighboring rooms. The noise insulation is very poor. You will hear every word. The big disadvantage is the room key. In fact, it is the key to the bathroom. The safe is not fixed. This is a poor level of security. You can't leave your personal belongings in the room. It is not safe at all.

It was really clean and modern easy to communicate with host and there was a bus stop right outside.

The bidet It was not a bed and breakfast. I DO not consider the biscuits in a jar breakfast!

The Black & White is located at the nice Trastevere neighborhood with bus and tramway very near, so you can easily reach any touristic spot. There are many shops, bars, cafes and restaurants around. My room was a single one with the bathroom inside. It was very clean. There is coffee, tea and some cookies at the entrance, which is very kind. When you arrive at the room, the 1st day of your stay, there's a small bottle of water in the small fridge...Which is very convenient if you arrive in the evening. When you arrive at the hotel there's nobody for the check-in but you'll receive some videos explaining how to enter the building, flat and your room. You don't find any personnel other than a cleaning person in the morning. She is very kind though. All the communication with the owner is through WhatsApp. Also checkout. Some of the rooms have the bathroom out of the room, so you need to go out to the common area to reach your bathroom. It was not my case, but I imagine it could be uncomfortable for some people. The windows and bed headboard need a refresh. The shower is a rainfall one, which is common in Italy, but not nice for women. Bring your shower gel and shampoo, because you'll only find a couple of shower gel sachets (for 4 days stay) and a small soap bar.
