About Donna Camilla Savelli – VRetreats
Designed by Baroque architect Borromini, the Donna Camilla Savelli is a former monastery in Rome's popular Trastevere area. It offers a garden, elegant and sober rooms, and free WiFi throughout. The property dates back to the 17th-century, and features exposed wooden beams on the ceilings and precious stuccoes. Rooms are air-conditioned and offer an LCD TV with satellite channels. The terrace at the Camilla Savelli offers views of the Eternal City. The inner garden is complete with patio. Breakfast is a varied buffet including sweet and savory items, and vegan products. During summer, it is served in the garden. The surroundings of this 4-star hotel include historic buildings, traditional Roman squares, and cobblestone-covered streets. The famous square outside the Church of Santa Maria in Trastevere is a 5-minute walk away. The Vatican is a 10-minute walk along the banks of River Tiber. Very beautiful hotel in a historic building. Staff were extremely polite throughout our stay. We came by car and parked it at a safe private hotel’s parking, what is super important for Rome. Rooms are comfortable, clean. Really liked the atmosphere in the hotel. The hotel is located in a quite neighbourhood, but every sight is reachable by foot

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Located in an ancient monastery, it carries the ambiance of Roman history back to the 17th century. At the same time, the hotel is beautifully decorated, combining modern touches with baroque style. It has all the necessary facilities and an absolutely amazing internal courtyard with olive trees and palms where the breakfast is served. Some of the rooms offer beautiful views over the city center Nothing to indicate

Gorgeous property in a stunning neighborhood . The team was super nice. However, once I was taking a nap and the maintenance team just entered the door and woke me up. I can hear every noise made outside of my door , I even had to sleep a few times with earphones to block the noise . I guess it’s the price you pay for having no carpets.

Amazing hotel with authentic historic Roman feeling ! Beautiful garden. It’s a former monastery and has its own church. Rooms are beautiful and have all the facilities needed. I loved it and will only stay there when in Roma. Coffee was a little too expensive on its own. Breakfast buffet is 29 euro but coffee is 6.50
