Guest House Ventisei Scalini A Trastevere

The decor was funky and gaudy, in a good way. Location is in the heart of Trastevere. A bit touristy, but very easy. It was quiet at night as well and there were plenty of places to store clothes. Air Conditioning worked well. The pillows were very thin and when I asked for another pillow, they only gave me one additional thin pillow, even though we were a couple. The drapes were also a bit dusty, my partner got sniffly.

Good communication, very accomodating they managed to get my room ready as soon as possible since i informed the staff i was arriving earlier in Rome. Amazing location and the room was great for my short-term stay.

This property was comfortable, stylish, and has a perfect location surrounded by restaurants and bars. Miguel made check in quick and easy!

It was nice to have snacks to start our day, the coffee machine and pod supply are great, but cake is not replaced if there is just a little bit left over. The air conditioning was good and quiet, and the windows did a good job blocking the street noise when necessary. The shower head does not stay in position, keeps falling. There needs to be a small shelf in the shower to put the soap and shampoo on, reaching down to the floor in that small shower is very difficult, especially for less flexible individuals. The towels were thin and the 3 day replacement is a bit too long.

It was a beautiful place for our first location on our 3-week journey. It was a handly location to visit some of the sights nearby! I know that it was not a breakfast include place, but the small amenities weren't restocked daily. Or, maybe the earliest risers were selfish users? There was a bit of a problem with all the night and early morning street noise, but we know that comes with the location in a crowded city. The shower was a very small. I am a small person and couldn't even reach down to pick up my shampoo. Maybe a shelf in the shower would help?! Also, more shelves or hooks/towels bars would be helpful. A few more plugins for recharging phones would also be helpful.

Location was great, lots to see and eat within walking distance. Loved the vibe of the area. Room was comfortable,clean and it was very quiet at night. Cookies and coffee provided- nice for the long days of walking. Lucia was very helpful and attentive.

The room decoration and the bed were good. There is plenty of space. The staff. They were not friendly at all. There is no place for you to leave the bag. And they are not very flexible for checkout even if it's a few minutes. Breakfast is non-existing. You have some toast available but you help yourself.

That it’s in a very good location. Lots of restaurant choices close by. Churches. It was perfect. I know it’s obvious by its name but really narrow staircase. Lol it was a struggle for us carrying 25kg luggages. Also the shower is quite narrow. But it was all good!

Great location! I’ve stayed in many hotels with varying room sizes, but this was by far the worst... Although I’m not usually claustrophobic, the space made me feel that way, and despite being two people, the bed was small and uncomfortable, clearly suited for one, so neither of us got any sleep that night.

What a fabulous apartment to come 'home' to at the end of an adventurous day in Rome. We stayed a week, and loved every minute of our comfortable stay at B&B Ventisei Scalini. Not only is the apartment visually inviting; the supplied continental breakfast thoughtful and adequate; the location perfect; the bathroom amenities sufficient; the daily cleaning thorough; and the overall state of the apartment and complex very clean; but the genuinely warm 'bend over backwards' attitude of the staff made our stay even better. Lucia and Miguel shared local knowledge, allowed us to check in a little early, accommodated needs and requests effortlessly; and even gifted us a bag of the cookies they offer for breakfast because we loved them so much. They take pride in their accommodation and service, and do all they can to ensure your stay is an excellent one. Nothing! It was a perfect stay.

The neighbourhood was incredible, full of great restaurants, shops, and not too touristy. We would definitely stay again.

The location was close to major attractions The building smelled a stingy odor. Breakfast did not have food for me because I have diabetes mellitus and it was mostly cake, muffin and croissant. There were only two piece of cheese. Even the yogurt has sugar!!! Facility had no flexibility, we arrived at 1:45 pm and were told room cannot be available till 2:00 pm. Also check out had to be at 11:00 while our ride was coming at 11:30 am. We had to go on the streets with our luggage. In the other hand, Lucia was very kind and told us about demonstrations today which could have delayed our arrival to the airport. She gave me good directions for the two days we spent there.
