The atmosphere & kind staff Just a bit run down, not the best service

We expected an older building and its peculiarities and there were many cool aspects. (We like older rather than newer things in general.) The elevator situation was very amusing, the breakfast was excellent and the room amenities were quite adequate. The room size was amazing! The location was super for Colosseum, Forum and many old, fascinating churches/buildings. We were on the top floor that had rooms but above us was the floor for housecleaning. It took us awhile to figure out that the noises we were hearing, very early in the day and late into the night, were carts being rolled around and things being placed loudly on the floor. Then, the next morning, our sink stopper broke and the sink couldn't drain.

Nothing

The location. Close to Termini and Metro station nextdoor. The black lady with curled hair at front desk was,the only stafmemver who could make any sense about the nonfunctional telephone and problem with the toilet flushing. Good breakfast which could use some varieties at least every 2 days. Exactly the same items all the time. No phone. Staff couldn't fix the phone. A 4* hotel tells a guest that there is no repairs in the weekend. Not heard of. In Rome? Very disappointed. Also on monday, they didn't repair it.

Location The elevator situation is terrible. They are very small and you have to use two different elevators to get to the second floor or higher. Do not stay here if you need an accessible room you will be highly discouraged

Location good close to transportation Away from locations

Not a lot A lot

The area outside. Not the Hotels fault. More of a City issue.

Jane is very nice . We like the room and is very clean. Out side are many homeless people and the park in front is not well maintained, but I think is the city issue. Only the two elevators are so small and not easy access. The size and the clean room .

Bathroom had high tub which was very difficult Internet very slow

Location friendly staff

No parking, even though they state parking in the ad. You park on the street and it is very very difficult to find parking.

Room was a bit smaller than we expected. Would liked to have had a chair in the room .

Bad neighborhood

Big room and close to train station

Wonderful traditional hotel. Lovely, interesting location away from main touristic crush. Nothing. I understand a renovation is planned. Please use a light touch and don’t lose the charm!

I like the cold water dispensers on every floor. It served a purpose. I thought all the rooms had the stripped curtains advertised in your website.comfortable stay

Basic room, air conditioning good for hot weather. Proximity to metro (2 steps away), train, sites and restaurants were a huge plus. Old and worn, but clean

In a very general note, room was in good condition except for nightstands and Air Conditioning Vent and ridiculous size of the bathroom. The daily room rate was indisputably not worth the value received and it was expensive for a hotel like Hotel Napoleon Roma. If I knew, I would not have made the reservation there. Further, When I booked this reservation, I selected the Price including Breakfast but was denied by Booking.com. I called but Not Vail. It should be noted here that I selected Breakfast because I did not know Rome in General and Hotel Area in particular and I have no Doubt my selection included Breakfast. Furthermore, it is absolutely unfair and bad business practices to display the Rome Colosseum as a picture of Hotel Napoleon Roma which is misleading and does not give the real picture of the hotel. When I was searching at Booking.com, Picture of Rome Colosseum showed up and I thought this is was the hotel BECAUSE I have never been in Rome to know the difference. HOWEVER, Booking.com Should Not Have used it AT ALL to reflect a picture of Napoleon Hotel OR ant other Hotels. Additionally, Room was dirty and dusty behind nightstands and Air Conditioning Vent was filthy and disgustingly dirty (picture is available upon request) which makes it unhealthy environment and unsafe especially for Senior People like us. The shower area is extremely small and unsuitable for showering and/or even washing hands. The Bathroom is indisputably small and does not have sufficient spaces to store even small amount of accessories. There is a small gap to the side of the shower area which it could have been utilized in a better way to expand the shower area instead of having an empty space. Elevator from ground to 1st floor is really small and it was unbearable efforts to carry two large luggage thru the stairs not once but twice to get to the 2nd elevator to go to our room.

The room furniture needs updated, two chairs and a table needed in room for seating. The flat screen TV could be larger. Moore TV stations with English language would be helpful.
