Hotel Villa San Lorenzo Maria

Weak air conditioning extreme heat in July. We were provided with an extra fan which did help a little but i would avoid the property in peak summer heat.

The hotel could be updated a bit, but it has the 18th century charm.

Great service, a lift, clean and comfortable room with air conditioning, fantastic breakfast including a big range of gluten free options. The area was not the pretty side of Rome but it was easy to get to all the main attractions by public transport

Authentic Italian Villa! Loved the rooms! Very clean and the staff was amazing. Great affordable breakfast on site. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable:( the location was not in the heart of Rome which is fine but not in a great area. Not much to do once you got back to the hotel.

The room was really nice, better than I expected, spacious (with the spacious bathroom), clean, neat. The look and feel of the whole place was extremely pleasant. I was searching for the place just near Roma Termini (around 7 minutes by taxi or 20 minutes walking) and the hotel met all my expectations. Nothing actually, all was good

The staff are the most helpful and attentive people I've met in my time in Rome. I was so amazed by their hospitality and really appreciate their help. It's tucked away in between buildings but when you pull up to it, it's like you've been transported to a villa in Rome. The location is about 5 minutes from the San Lorenzo hub area with a lot of cafes and restaurants and was right next to a supermarket which was super helpful. The room had great light, air conditioning, hot water and also hair dryer which were good amenities for me to have. The property & the room is a little dated & less modern than newer hotels but the room was enough for me as I was staying just a single night. The bed did creak a little when you turned at night but again not a big problem to me that they can't fix.

The entire hotel smelled like cigarettes, and the front desk person was unkind when we checked in. The rooms are very small + the entire quarter is covered in graffiti.

Location was ok, room was clean. Breakfast was also ok Parking was the worse part of the stay. We were promised to park at the property but end up parking it outside in the street. Charge was more than what it worth.

The location is a bit away from the main attractions, so traveling back and forth can take some extra time. The rooms could also use a few modern updates compared to the photos online.

Unfortunately, aside from the good staff, I can’t mention any other advantages of the property, thank you all. The room was very outdated, and instead of a proper bed there was an uncomfortable couch/bench. For this price, I expected much better and believe there are far better options available.

The staff are very kind and friendly, 24/7 reception, breakfast was good The area is terrible I didn't feel safe as a solo female traveler. My room had bugs and a huge amount of ants, although the staff did try to clean my room after I told them this but the ants were there for my whole stay. The single room's bathroom is extremely small. The walls are not sound proof at all and you can hear everything your neighbours are saying

Sadly the beds were very hard. No air conditioning till May so a fan was brought to the room which was nice. Location was ok but a good 45-60 minute walk to the main attractions.

Central location near trams, buses. Within walking distance of Main Termini, many shops, and metro. Nice courtyard to sit and read or have a drink. Good bar. Great, helpful staff.

I liked how the location was tucked behind the street so it away from the noise and the atmosphere was very pretty The Wi-Fi was very bad, very slow and kept cutting out

The place itself is amazing, lovely hotel to stay in, and quite close to all the attractions, 20 minute walk to colosseum. It was clean and there are no issues about the place at all. We found the stay to be very good. The location isnt the best. The surrounding area has graffiti all over every wall, and is not ideal, during daytimes it is safe but ive heard from locals that you should not be staying around there after midnight as there are druggies who might get violent
