The terrace was nice & the breakfast was okay. The location proved to be not as close as we anticipated to what we desired being around. Not horrible, however- still very doable as it was close to the termini and metro. The room was loud with vibrant colors in an attempt to blur one’s vision from the water damage on the walls, exposed wood wall by the air conditioner and cracks in the floor. Pictures for our advertised room were also false. The terrace view we had was not the opera house at all, but rather rooftops of other buildings that were not anything to view. We also encountered an ant infestation on the last night. They got into a piece of luggage that was left open on the floor while we were out exploring. It was disgusting how many were all in our clothing and bag. The hotel doorman was wonderful, even despite the language barrier to assist. The female front desk staff was less than ideal with her dismissive tone stating “it’s a common problem during the summer time and because (we’re) near the terrace it’s more likely to happen.” We were moved to another room only at our request as they were initially going “deep clean it” for us. We were also told no partial refund from the property would be provided as booking.com was the entity we booked through. The GM has yet to respond. Booking.come provided an 12% credit from our stay. It didn’t completely ruin our honeymoon but we most certainly didn’t enjoy the experience.

The property was very clean. It was impossible to contact anyone at the property unless you were present at the front desk. I was unable to contact anyone at the property multiple times and days, even while in Italy. I was told they are understaffed and overworked.

    Breakfast and location -

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

At first I wasn't sure about location and area but after spending time there it was perfect! So many restaurants right on the same street. Easy location to trains, busses and taxis. I would highly recommend getting a car from the airport and back that made the trip so easy! Nothing.. it was a pleasant stay!

Breakfast was adequate. The staff was awesome. Our room and the breakfast room need updating.

Its location. My room also had a nice balcony. Cant think of one

We got a room that exit on the terrace and that was awesome. Breakfast is the same, they only change some of the fruits. It would be good if there was at least an option to get different kind of eggs for example.

Very well located close to the Termini, adjacent to the piazza Teatro Nazionale, and still with small quiet streets, bars and restaurants all around. Trains and busses (64 to St. Peter's Basilica) to take you to anywhere in Rome. The hotel is very much a classic hotel, with super-attentive and friendly staff. A nice breakfast is served from an early hour, handy for those who need to get a move on. Super-nice hotel, value for money. What's not to like?

The location was good, staff were supportive and cheerful almost all of them. I tried late checkout and they said I need to pay for an extra night. Also the housekeeping in the morning are very noisy and seems the storage of their equipment was adjacent to my room which was very noisy.

Good location and the water pressure in the shower was good. Bed was hard and shower was small

Location, old world charm, cleanliness, breakfast Nothing!

Breakfast was great. The room was perfectly adequate. The hotel is in an extremely convenient location. It's close to the train station, but far enough away to be away from the crowds and feel safe. Not having the elevator go to the 5th floor was slightly annoying, but the rooftop terrace more than made up for the very minor inconvenience.
