Location is close to train station (15 minute walk) and walkable to many popular sites. It was a hot sunny day for April and the AC kept the room cool. Instructions for entering the building and room were clear. It would be a great option for a larger group to rent all of the rooms. The staff were able to have our room ready ahead of check-in (although they did not alert us as they said they would). As many other guests stated, it was surprisingly quiet at night, which was perfect before our early morning departure. The elevator is a piece of history- and it works! The bathroom was clean enough, but due to old tiles/fixtures, it had a shabby appearance. The sides of the bed frame had very noticeable stains and scuffs, and the furniture was worn and shabby. The mattress was hard & worn out and the pillows were flat. It’s understandable that the building is old, but the owner could afford to spruce up the furnishings and it would make a huge difference! One other note- to be clear- the rooms are not located in the tower, but in a building up the street from the tower. I am sure some guests book with the expectation of staying in the tower. Lastly, while this is not unique to La Torre Guest House, the staff contacted us by Whatsapp immediately with a link to pay the Rome VAT (5 euros per guest, per day) and requesting photos of our passports. I know all hotels require this, but with all of the scams these days, it’s preferable to communicate via Booking.com messages, which Booking emphasizes on its site.

The location was good. It was clean. It had washer and a small shared kitchen. The windows didn't have mesh so we couldn't open them at night

Located somewhere between Termini (the railway station) and Colosseum, was convenient to walk around the most important city sights. For the Vatican museum you need a mean of transport (it's more than an hour walk away) The room size is normal but the bathroom is rather small, especially the shower tube. It is equipped with a small fridge which was provided wit two bottles of drinking water everyday. The double bed is big enough and comfortable except for the pillows - very soft and puffy. There is a common small kitchen with all you need to make a coffee or tea, even to prepare a small dish. Here you can also find the devises you need for ironing your clothes. There is also a small living room. All places were impeccably clean, above our expectations. Although we didn't meet the stuff - all communications were made by "WhatsApp" - they even allowed us to leave our luggage (two road sacks) in the common area for some hours after we checked out. Via Giovanni Lanza is not a very central street, nevertheless some noise reaches the room. The sound isolation is not the best it could be. We could hear a dog barking somewhere in the building even at very early hours (6:00 am) which was annoying. Even though we didn't hear any noise from the other three rooms, you could easily hear everything was going on in the isle - fortunately very rarely. The bed itself also made a small squeaky sound with every move.
