The location was ideal for us. Terrace overlooking St. Peter’s was wonderful and the perfect spot to unwind in the evening with a cocktail. The staff could not have been nicer. Absolutely lovely stay and we will definitely return.

We need a room for 1 night prior to flying back home. We wanted to stay near the Vatican so we could see the Basilica the day before we left. It was perfect. Nice rooftop with views of the Basilica. Hotel had breakfast that was very good. We were there during Holy Week and actually saw the Pope the morning we left during mass. It was truly a blessing and a wonderful surprise. We got a basic room- the bathroom was small and the room was very simple.

Breakfast and proximity to Vatican City

- Location was great one step away from Vatikan, felt very safe during our stay. There was always reseptionest 7/24 and all were very kind. Building is quite elegant and historical. Terrace was super and breakfast is high quality in a cute and elite room. I definitely recommend dor a elite and safe stay. Bathroom was small but not a big problem. There were ants in the shower cabin not a problem for me but they die everytime when we shower.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not just helpful because it is their job, but genuinely happy to be helpful. The AC wasn’t turned on so the room became stuffy in the afternoon and hot for sleeping at night. But this was really just a minor thing. I only mention it because the question wants something.

Great location, right next to St. Peter’s Square. The simple room is spacious and clean, and the housekeeping staff was excellent. The outside terrasse lives up to all the wonderful photos and reviews. We spent time there every night, sometimes just for drinks, a couple of nights for drinks and dinner. Francesca is a gem - friendly and efficient. The evenings she was off were definitely not the same. This would have been a 5-star review across the board, but a very unpleasant incident occurred the morning we departed. The hotel offers transportation between the Rome airport and the hotel. I had requested, by message to the hotel, a car service on the day we arrived, 19 March. I knew the price was €85 and accepted that. We had a wonderful driver, Roberto, the morning we arrived. He drove us to the hotel and that was that. The charge would be paid by us to the hotel, because this was a hotel-offered service. I presented my credit card upon check-in. On the day before we left Rome, 24 March, I asked the young woman at the desk to reserve transportation for us from the hotel to the airport on 25 March. A car would arrive for us early in the morning. Before we left, the man at the desk asked us to pay the €85 charge. Of course! We naturally assumed this was to pay for the trip about to happen. Any logical person would think this. We used our credit card to pay and met Claudio on the street. But, when Claudio dropped us off at the airport, he demanded payment of €85. I explained that we had just paid at the hotel. He grew belligerent and demanded we pay. I had to call the hotel, and the man at the hotel was rude, insulting, and impatient, saying that what I paid for was the transportation from 19 March. I was humiliated. Of course I wasn’t trying to stiff Claudio, so I took out my credit card to pay him. He refused my card and said cash only. Who doesn’t accept a credit card?? As an American about to leave Europe, I didn’t have many Euros on me (most people wouldn’t). I had two 50s, one 10, and two 5s. So I gave Claudio the two 50s (€100) and he made a big show about my not having the correct amount. He handed me €10 in coins - €1 coins and 50-cent coins. He shrugged and said that was all he had. So, in the end, he ripped ME off. Why didn’t the man in the hotel let me know that I was paying for a trip from a week prior?

It was steps away from Vatican City. For the price we expected to get a room with view.
