Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale

Location, location, location. Being centre of city was fantastic with cathedral on the doorstep and bars, shops and restaurants along with all the history. Room we had was a decent size. It had a fridge in room which we used for our water and medicine. Decent hot shower. Lots of towels. Two pillows each which was bliss as well as a massive bed. Maybe we really enjoyed it too as we'd camped in our tent for 14 nights. Staff friendly and helpful. The lifts seemed a bit tricky to lots of older customers we noticed. Scan room card then push floor you wanted. It slowed up getting to rooms as we were behind a large party.

Excellent bendy night light. The bed was at an odd angle which raised all sorts of questions. Car park was underground so felt like Batman. The sausages at breakfast were incredibly small. It didn’t Rouen breakfast though.

Good to get around!

Great location: right next to the Cathedral and 10-minute walk from Vieux Marche, walking distance to the train station. Breakfast on the weekend is a bit chaotic. The room is somewhat dark.

Location excellent! Room clean, bed comfortable. Shower big and water pressure excellent! Staff at front desk, very attentive and friendly! The underground car park. Difficulty accessing via the coded barrier, we were 2nd in the queue with at least 6 other cars behind us. Eventually was advised an issue with the key pad and gained access. We were made aware that the car park entrance was very narrow, we have a small car and still struggled, we managed to get the last space on level 1 but extremely tight. Luckily there was a huge disabled space behind us so we could reverse out fairly easily.

Central location. Quality as you would expect from a Mercure Hotel More of a business feel than a leisure hotel. Parking on the pricier side.

The location was wonderful, once we were there! It was quite stressful driving in as you have to put a code in for a bollard to be lowered & there was some confusion over this. The woman on reception when we checked in was delightful & really helpful. The parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! Avoid! You think it’s useful being parked under the hotel but the stress just isn’t worth it. We saw a Tesla scrape itself all along another parked car & it took us 40 minutes of minute manoeuvres to get out. Also our room’s electrics were a bit dodgy. We borrowed a travel plug from reception which then tripped the switch.

Comfy, space, great location and well presented. No or couldn't find shower mat so shower cubicle like glass after shower. Air con not great and as weather was very warm, made room temperature a bit unomfortable.

The location is very good. The room is clean but small. The still water and sparking water are supplied in the hotel lobby. The breakfast is very good.
