This place is an amazing, quaint experience right on the Sacramento River in the middle of Old Town.

However after complaining at front desk they cooperated with giving us another room location. But not on our original requested location. Expedia confirmed the availability of our requested room location. If Expedia is unable to guarantee the availability location and expected acccomodations then they should not charge the rates or fees associated with the reservation until customer actually checks in and inspection can be made by the customer at the facility. Possibly a returnable deposit would be a solution to that problem. We are sure we’re not the first to make identical complaints. This price grab by expedia has further resulted in the facility also charging us again for the room change that they made for us. It was explained that expedia being a third party agency the facility could not accommodate us with the room we paid in confirmation that third party (expedia). We therefore we out out of monies charged and given to original booked room (expedia) for hat we didn’t use. The facility charged separately for the room we stayed in. We purchased insurance we believe covers this mishap and ask that Expedia return those monies and charges to our account. ASAP as we as a response regarding this issue. We are relaying on the advertised positive reputation of the company to follow through J.W.

Noise from the lobby and door opening for those exiting the lobby is clearly heard. Earplugs placed in room was the hint. Noise abated around 1am Sunday morning.

The Delta King is a unique setting with a fascinating history going back to the 1920's. There are some very interesting riverboat artifacts and historical information provided in the common areas. It is located right in the Old Sacto area so it's very convenient to museums, shops, and the River Cats stadium. Our room was small but comfortable. It did take a bit of getting used to a floor that slanted slightly, but that's to be expected on a boat. We enjoyed the experience. The street noise from a nearby, newly-opened beer garden was loud, but it closed down around 10 PM.

It’s not the Ritz by any means, but given it’s a decommissioned river boat, it was incredible. Rooms were clean and well maintained, if small and aged. Staff was amazing. Restaurant and bar had great menus and staff. Just wish they had later hours. Overall it’s such a great experience and walking distance to the baseball park, old downtown Sacramento, and downtown Sacramento proper. Would definitely make it my regular spot if I ever have occasion to come back

We had a great stay and will definitely be back! Room and entire boat/hotel was clean, well maintained, modernized but still with the old charm down to every detail. Location was great, walkable to everything. Staff was helpful, bar was cool. Definitely worth it to get the river view if you can! Room was nice, beautiful, very clean and charming. Nice bathroom with great lighting and a comfy bed. We will stay here again!!!
