Econo Lodge Sacramento Convention Center

The Concierge at the Governor’s mansion gave us the wrong key and but wouldn’t accept livestock . The econo lodge is only a block away and great for median herds, we recommend over the Governor’s Mansion.

The stay was terrible. The bed was super cheap, the hot cold water barely worked. The ac went out in our hotel sometimes between 4:30pm-11:30pm, so when we returned from an event it was 96 degrees on pur room. I spoke to the Manager who was very rude, had us move all of our stuff into and even worse room at midnight, I mean open hikes in the ceiling missing lights, holes in the floor, soo dirty and it had a sewage block. The Manager never apologized and when I tried to get a contact number for some one above him to possible get reimbursed he said we could just clock out and leave right then and there At 12am.

The A/C did not cool during the day and the toilet was constantly running.

Decent location. Large TV and hard floors. Needed paint. Room appointments could have been a little nicer and all walls needed paint. One or two lughtbulbs were also burned out and the AC just stayed no control buttons worked to adjust the room temp up or down or to turn the AC off.

The experience was absolutely terrible. The room was extremely dirty, unkempt, and worst of all, infested with cockroaches. It is a very unsanitary place to stay. Because of the disgusting hygiene conditions in the room, I didn't even dare to try the breakfast. The location cannot make up for how poorly maintained this place is. I strongly advise everyone to avoid staying here. Absolutely everything. The extreme lack of hygiene, the filthy room, and the cockroach infestation.

Clean, no issues at all checking in. The coffee in the morning was better than expected. Very noisy at night with yelling and loud car screeching noises.

Location I would not recommend staying here. Even at a low price, I don’t think anyone should be exposed to mold. It’s a health hazard and there was a lot of it. There was also a lot of stains on the walls and the ceiling was completely water damaged. Hopefully, the manager takes care of this issue and hopefully we receive the refund we emailed about.

Location Dirty, noisy

Really close to everything you want to see in a very walkable city. Blocks to the Capital, restaurants, and once you figure out the bus system, it's breeze to get to Fort Sutter and old town. What really would have helped was local info on happenings that were planned and free. Example: 2nd night we stopped at front desk and mentioned we liked live music...oh, they said, that's great! Last night was first Thursday (or what ever) and they have local bands and fireworks outdoors right down the street. We stopped into Fort Sutter and they had live demonstrations plus 2 museums for one that Saturday so we came back the next day. We stumbled into a Farmers Market by chance that was probably the nicest I've ever been to 4 blocks from the hotel, no mention of it when we left for our morning walk...and so forth. Seems like owner owned small hotels maybe need a little package of free things to do to hand out when people check in to explore their local area without a car (bus schedule? weekly events? street map?). Continental breakfast - well hot coffee was plentiful and prepackaged muffins, nothing fancy but adequate and no computer center to get email or print tickets. We would go back.
