Cozy No lift

The garden is beautiful and the swimming pool was nice to have access to during a heatwave when we visited. The rooms are also quite large compared to hotels inside the center of the city. It's about a 5 min drive to Saint Jean de Luz. Also very dog-friendly! (with extra charge) It feels like there's a lot of "add-on" charges, though their website is relatively transparent about it, but not if you book through 3rd parties like booking.com.The breakfast was well stocked but I'm not sure it's worth the price. We pre-booked only 1 day's breakfast out of our 2 days stay and they tried to charge us an extra day. Dogs are 15 euros per dog per night. Tourist tax is also extra at checkout.

Everything was magnificent! It was a pleasure to stay at Chantaco. I recommend everyone to have that experience. The service was amazing! The rooms, the pool area the scenery, the garden! Amazing!!!! Nothing!

Incredible staff - warm and accommodating- relaxed yet super professional Nothing

A grand place to relax and to take care of the wellness offerings. It was about a 40 minute walk to Saint-Jean but if you can figure out the bus routes (#45, #46 to the hotel) it is only about a 1.5 euro ride. Once you're in Saint-Jean look for the prix fixed menus where the food offerings are exquisite and tasty. At the hotel itself, the food is equally tasty. Try the pate, the croquettes or really any of the dishes. The wine offerings are also excellent. The staff is very hospitable and were always very responsive to any question. There is no elevator but the staff will help you up with any bags going upstairs or even downstairs. The decor is somewhat dated but this place blends the new with the old successfully. The sitting and living rooms are perfect for a good book or playing board cards or cards.

Full of charm. Brilliant for a romantic golf weekend! Staff is so nice, local products are delicious. Only wish they had a restaurant! The place is so charming we had tapas for dinner and they were good.

It was very convenient with a nice large room. The staff were very accommodating to our large dog. The bathroom shower screen was loose and the shower cubicle was extremely slippery. I think a few people had possibly fallen against the glass and loosened it. Just popping in a mat or some floor stickers would help

No elevator, however the receptionist eventually found someone to help carry the bags. Parking is across the busy country road and we were unfortunate to stay there when it rained quite heavily.

Superb

The staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to work there! The building and gardens were beautiful and the pool is open all year round. Fluffy white towels in the room and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was excellent too! The bike hire seems a little expensive.

Great location, very close to the city but in a calm place. Free parking. Amazing room and hotel. Lot of mosquitoes.

Stunningly beautiful. Extremely helpful staff. Amazing breakfast. Close to fairly busy road. A little road noise but not a big issue.

Suzanna was fantastic, she was so welcoming and was very accommodating with regards to parking my bike. The room was great and the restaurant was really lovely. The only negative, is that you're a bit of a captive audience, but because the restaurant is very nice and reasonably priced, it made no difference.
