Les Chiens du Guet

This hotel is centrally located next to the primary gate to Plage de Bon-Secours, to the iconic salt water pool and diving tower, and to a rare staircase to the ramparts. The restaurant serves great food. And despite the centrality of this establishment, the streets outside were quiet at night and we got great sleep. We recommend this accomodation.

The hotel is run by a beautiful couple who are very dedicated and enthusiastic about everything they do! The sevice is excellent and the food is delicious! The location is fantastic - built right against the old rampart next to an ancient gate. The ocean, the beach, and wonderful walking is right there. The room was sufficient, but nothing to write home about.

The location is right next to the city wall and steps from the beach, which is amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend staying here for the price and location. My room had a window that looked directly at the city wall, which was great, but there were constantly people walking by and looking in the window, so I had to keep the curtain closed. There is no AC, and it was pretty hot. Also, the shared toilet is not ideal. I booked last minute, so the only room left did not have a private toilet. The shower smelled like urine, so I think people use it instead of walking to the shared toilet.

We were really happy to stay at this establishment. We found a quiet and friendly environment in a wonderful location, right next to the city walls and the sea. The host was really nice and helpful about our needs. it is a place we would recommend. Unhygienic shower curtain

Great position in saint malo right next to the ramparts and access to the beach.parking available very near to the hotel. Really helpful and lovely staff,great character property and good food in the restaurant . Would definitely return and recommend.

It was just next to the outer walls so it was easy to get to the beach and the perimeter of the town. No elevator… not a big deal though

Excellent location, restaurant as well. Breakfast was good. Small shower and toilet, but in an olde building right in the old town so expect that. Enjoyed basing ourselves here, beautiful location and easy access to cafés and restaurants, and the beach. Ease of early check in/check out much appreciated.

Close proximity to the beach, bedding very comfortable. We didn’t try the restaurant yet breakfast, lunch and dinner were possible. Small bathroom, basic furnishings and decorations.
