Sarah was the most wonderful receptionist we've ever seen. Delightful personality, she offered sound advice for our visit, and assisted us in finding parking and a good restaurant. Very nice room. Great central location.

Staff seems trying to accommodate our need but didn’t work. Dryer got smoke come out and replace one also broken socket. Sheet was stained already. Yack The restaurant was open well midnight and customers hang around until 3am.

The location was ideal for me. I found the hotel charming and comfortable. Small, family run hotel, where the service was friendly and exceptional.

    Superb

  • Engine customer Apr 2025

Very kind Sara, the daughter of the owner. Clean. Good location. Near the train station. Walkable distance to historical center. There Is a cafeteria/bar. It was warm in the corridors, but no heat to the rooms. THE bathroom. Tiny and not comfortable.

Perfectly located for us on the Via de la Plata. Sarah and the other staff were super friendly, helpful and professional. The room had everything that we needed, was well cleaned and the beds comfortable. Good tapas in the evening and breakfast in the morning in the bar. Great value too.

It was super clean, the location was pretty nice

Close to train station, not far from old city. Friendly staff. Quiet at night. Everything in the room works. Apparatus is old in the room. The shower door is barely shut after several tries and it will fall open during a shower, so shower quickly. TV is small, may be a 12 inch one, so that when sitting on the bed far end , can't see clearly what on TV. Room 105 is really small, but there are two beds, don't know how to accommodate two person, especially those 200 lbs big Americans.

Very good. Couldn't be better. Highly recommend. Nothing

    Good

Breakfast was simple but adequate. Room temperature was comfortable despite cold weather. I felt very comfortable generally. I struggled sometimes to open the door and get the lights to work with the door key.

Many thanks to the very friendly and helpful staff.

  • Engine customer Dec 2024

Inexpensive, central, basic but more than good enough, easy to find free parking on the streets around the hotel. Some humidity stains on the bathroom ceiling.

    Very good

The best thing about the hotel was leaving. I left feeling the place is only good for the devil in hell looking for an alternative should hell ever become full. A number of rooms had a sewage pipe running over the ceiling, and boxed in, so there was this constant flow and sound of sewage water every 30 seconds. It looked like a rough part of the town, and deserted at most times. I was concerned for my safety. I wouldn't describe it as a family friendly hotel as I could hear, as there was no getting away from it, and as the walls are so thin, couples having sex. It's not somewhere I'd be happy to take a child to. Thoroughly unprofessional, insulting to paying guests, and very disorganised. At one star, it has the lowest rating possible. 1. I fell ill shortly after I arrived, and I didn't leave my room for most of my stay. There was no heating daytime and I was cold so I took the sheets from the neighbouring twin bed in a bid to say warm. The hotel didn't do any cleaning while I was in the room or changed sheets, which was fine. However, as there was no extra expense for them, they wanted €60, 3x€20 per day. I felt a €60 bill for using some extra sheets was too high. Nevertheless, I would have been happy to pay any amount, had I been asked politely but Sara was screaming and demanding I pay. Her manners was highly inflammatory and very unprofessional. As none of my friends could speak Spanish and I was in pain I asked if you had contact details for a doctor. Her response: you are here with friends, get them to help. Don't ask me. I cannot give you drugs. (I wasn't asking for 'drugs') My friend in a twin room had a broken bed that was uncomfortable. So she swapped beds during the night. For this, the hotel also wanted €60, €3x€20. even though it was their bed that was broken. Sara said my friend should have told staff but hardly any of the staff can speak a word of English. It's impractical to expect a female to wonder the corridor of a hotel, during the night to then report an issue to someone who cannot communicate, even basically, in English. Originally my booking was for 5 rooms for 5 people. But after paying, a 6th friend wanted to join us. I spent 4 months with an email history with the hotel trying to pay but it was them who wouldn't accept payment in advance. For visa purposes they wouldn't change the name to add my 6th guest, had border security checked. I wrote about 12 times asking and in the end, I had to contact booking.com to force them to add a 6th person.

Great little hotel, close to the centre, good price quality ratio and nice and helpful staff

  • Engine customer Nov 2024

Nothing but the location okay. Overpriced and was not a clean room. No ventilation as windows opened to a dirty courtyard next to the kitchen. The room smelled of old greasy oil from the kitchen bar. Could hear every time someone flushing a toilet from the ceiling pipes in the room.

  • Engine customer Nov 2024

The room was spacious, well equipped, nicely decorated and clean. My bed was comfortable. Breakfast was offered in the hotel bar to a very reasonable price as everything else served there. The staff are really friendly, especially Sara. Easy to reach historic Salamanca by foot or by bus. You need ear plugs if you don't enjoy hearing every breath from neighboring rooms.

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. There was some building noise from next door, the hotel owner apparently asked them to be more thoughtful. The next morning there was hardly any construction work! The hotel is within walking distance of old Salamanca and sight seeing. Sara was very helpful in giving advice on where to eat where there was good food and reasonable prices. Nothing. The building work was noisy but stopped the next day.
