Shilo Inn Suites - Salem

It’s an older property, but they are at the beginning of a complete remodel that sounds like it will be great. Only drawback was because of the remodel, there was no breakfast.

Old property… They were renovating the 4th floor. Room was clean, but run down and old furniture. Stayed on the 3rd floor. Floor was squeaky. King bed was comfortable enough to get a good nights sleep. No breakfast, but coffee in the lobby.

They overbooked so set us up in Beaverton Hotel. Was not happy about the change a day before we arrived but they did provide a free dinner.

Hotel is undergoing construction and that info is not disclosed anywhere. A little rundown. The carpet in our room had a dirty foot smell. The counter on the kitchenette had a previous big burning stain. The elevator is slow, For the rate I guess that what we get.

Convenient location, great friendly staff. Very affordable Lots of construction in the way. Could use so e clean upgrades ex.. carpets

Nothing special and definitely not an 8. It’s a room in a run down hotel.

Close to freeway

Remodeling the hotel, no breakfast, no pool.

Property currently under construction so that might be inconvenient to some. When we arrived there were no guest bathrooms available in the lobby prior to check-in. Sometimes many come quite a long ways to reach their hotel only to be told they have to wait til they check into their rooms to use the bathroom. Inconvenient for those having emergencies. Other than that no complaints.

The property snd staff were great

It’s clean, beds are comfortable, price is good, free parking. Nothing special.

The rooms were pretty clean and the front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms and property are old and rundown. The seating in the rooms were falling apart and dated. We had two rooms and needed them refreshed on our third day of a four day stay. We made sure NOT to put out the “Do Not Disturb” on either room before leaving for the day. Upon returning in the evening neither room had been touched. We ended up having to hunt down our own clean towels and coffee cups, which was not a big deal. It wouldn’t be my first choice for a stay but we were in a pinch so it was fine.

The property is under renovation. That was not disclosed. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night.

Called and asked if they had a pool was told yes. However it is out of order. Not enough towels. Sugar ants everywhere! Fire alarm pulled by drunk person at 1am. Left standing outside with not one word from staff on what was happening.
