Lovely large rooms, very good location. The staff was very helpful and pleasant throughout. They packed us a lovely breakfast for our early morning departure. Location is excellent - a few minutes walk from the old town. The bathroom was not well planned and there was no overhead shower. Soap needed to be purchased, which is odd for a five star hotel.

Such a gorgeous property. Great location. Very nice staff. Breakfast was spectacular. About 6 mins from central station. 10 mins walk to old town. I was under impression I could get a pull out bed. I couldn’t. So check this before you book.

The Bristol is in a perfect location as we were in for the Festspiele — less than 15 minutes’ walk from any of the venues and just around the corner from the beautiful Mirabell Palace and its gardens. The front desk staff were helpful, even if not always friendly and the room was comfortable with good turn down service. Notably while the air conditioning in even top hotels can struggle in the crazy August heat, ours was great throughout our stay. The hotel bar is a real missed opportunity. While the Sacher hotel bar is filled to overflowing, the sad “Sketch bar” at the Bristol is always three-quarters empty, air conditioned to the point of anticipating snowfall (I saw innumerable women head to their rooms to layer up), and staffed by unhappy people who don’t know how to make a drink. Our seemingly straightforward dry gin martini and perfect Manhattan arrived watery and with huge volume, bolstered by water from excess shaking. One staff member actually told us that Management “refuses to invest in an ice machine to make those big ice cubes” and another treated us like we were an unavoidable annoyance en route to his going home. As there is so much margin to be made in liquor sales, it might benefit the Bristol to rethink their strategy (or lack thereof) and invest in some equipment, save some money on the aircon, and hire a proper bartender. This is especially true as the hotel really has no other facilities other than a fitness room.

Location is great. It’s a very old, historic building. It’s very old - meaning creaky floors, lack of WiFi, subpar air conditioning, and amenities for a 5 star are questionable.

Beautiful boutique hotel, staff are amazing and welcoming. Nothing to complain about, maybe just the no parking at the hotel.
-
Good location The staff is cold and distant- they barely say Hi. Feels like you are bothering them. We stayed for 3 days. The room was not properly cleaned and last day we asked for sandwiches as we were leaving early morning. They were very small and not much in them.

It was excellent with a good variety of food to give you the right start for the day. Bonus was the cheerful and helpful staff. Anita and the concierge were most hospitable and efficient.

All in all a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Very centrally located. Mirabell palace is located behind the hotel. City centre too is a 10-minute walk away. N/A

Beautiful room. Professional and great staff. Air conditioning design did not allow to turn off the fan that directly blew air towards my bed to the point of affecting even my closed eye. The comforter was VERY thin in a duvet cover. The helpful staff provided me with a heavy blanket that I found to be heavy. I had a terrible night because of these conditions. I managed to sleep about 2 hrs. Another issue was no accommodation for international guests to charge phone or connect to the internet.
