The location is central and the breakfast is excellent. The central courtyard is nice. Unfortunately I had a negative experience at this property. The room opens directly onto a very loud bar, and this was not disclosed at the time of booking. I of course accept some reasonable city noise due to the central location; however I experienced pounding bass and loud music from at least 5pm to 11pm, meaning I could not relax in the room at all and had to go out. I have travelled a lot and this is the loudest place I have ever stayed. I also could not open the curtains because people at the bar could see directly into the room. The website states guests can 'relax in the quiet oasis' of the building which is misleading - it would be more accurate to say this has the vibe of a party hostel. I truly don't understand how other guests have noted it is quiet - perhaps their rooms didn't open onto a bar? I made a complaint at reception and they told me there was nothing they could do. Do not book if you want any peace at all!

Location can't be beat. Breakfast was great. no air conditioning was less than ideal, but it was still a great place.

There is NO air conditioning- which typically would probably not be much of an issue - but Europe was having a heat wave.

I assume most rooms are on the outside wall of the seminary and in the summer, you really need to open the windows to cool the rooms down for sleep; however, the noise from an active bar scene just across the alley prevented keeping the windows open until well after midnight.

Centrally located, 3-4 mins walk to Mirabell palace. About 5 mins walk to the riverfront and 10 mins to oldtown (Residenzplatz). I arrived early and the reception has luggage storage facilities. They were kind enough to give me a room much before the check-in time (that too a bigger room). I am very thankful for the gesture. The room was huge with very antique looking furniture. The building itself is historic. Look up Dreifaltigkeitskirche, Salzburg.

Great central location and spacious room. Staff was extremely friendly. No air conditioning during heat wave. Bed was really stiff.

The location for this was exceptional - beautiful and right near some central locations as well as very walkable across the river to everything else you want to see in Salzburg. The bed was comfortable and the room was just right for my needs. Only difficult thing was no A/C in the high heat, but the room had a very good fan that helped significantly with cooling off and windows that opened out to let in night air. Great water pressure in the shower as well! The staff was very communicative about how to get your key if you arrive outside of the check-in hours and it was an easy process to follow. Nothing to say! Everything was great for this stay and I really enjoyed my time here.

almost everything! Nice quiet and simpleo in a great location. Too hot. Fan couldn't keep up. Having no way to lock for from inside without a key. If one of us left, door had to remain unlocked or the other of us had to be locked in. Not exactly safe.

Nothing

The rooms were incredibly spacious and if you are not looking for anything fancy, just a simple room that is clean, in a good location and reasonably priced, then this place is for you! They also had a complimentary breakfast that was quite tasty. I would definitely stay here again if I was to come back to Salzburg.
