Located at a main road on the outskirts of Salzburg, Hotel Vogelweiderhof dates back to the early 20th century and offers free WiFi in all rooms and free private parking. There is also the bus line 120 (direction Mattsee), which offers direct connection from the Main Train Station to the hotel. The motor way, leading to Salzburg Airport, Salzburg Arena, Red Bull Arena, the Messezentrum Salzburg Exhibition Center and to several shopping centers, can be reached within a 10-minute drive. Rooms have ceiling fan for cooling, and rooms on upper floor can be reached by stairs.

Local transport guest pass was great to travel to center of Salzburg. Free parking was a great addition. Breakfast was ok We visited this hotel 2 years ago and we stayed in the block A which was a great however this time we stayed in block B and we were not impressed: Bed- uncomfortable ( 2 single beds put together which were leaning in the middle) No air-conditioning- the room was extremely hot and the ceiling fan didn't do hardly anything. As the result we had to keep the window open however the extreme noise from the main road whole night through prevent us from having any sleep at all. There was a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee to make a drink We paid 151.70 euro for one night stay in a small room which isn't good value for the money especially as this hotel is way out of center of Salzburg with no air-conditioning or complimentary drinks We will not be back

A beautiful hotel close to the center of this amazing city, safe and free parking where you can leave your car for a few hours after check-out, a delicious continental breakfast, a beautiful and large room, the hotel is divided into several buildings, an automatic room key card collection system in case the receptionist is not available, clean, quiet, and with fast Wi-Fi.

Just the balcony. The bathroom amenities were almost empty; the wash basin tap was not functioning properly; there was no staff during the night or in the morning for help; and there was no tea or coffee in the room. Overall worst experience so far.

Comfortable bed, sofa in the room, fridge. Not clean enough, a bit unsafe around the hotel, not within walking distance to the old centre and the attractions.

Was right by no 21 bus stop that would take you right into the centre of town within around 15 mins. Also walkable from train station No air con. The room was very hot (although we were in a heatwave)

One positive was the Guest Mobility Ticket, which could be useful if you plan to use buses or trains during your stay, although we did not end up using it. Very poor value for money We booked two rooms for one night for €470. The rooms were very basic, and one had no AC, only a ceiling fan. The biggest issue was a very strong smell of urine from one of the beds, which made it impossible for our elderly parents and another family member to sleep. We contacted the hotel around 23:30 asking if the bed could be changed, but there was no night-time support and we only received a reply the next afternoon. We had to drive the entire following day without sleep, which seriously affected our trip and created an unnecessary safety concern. The television in the same room also appeared to be faulty: even after being manually switched off, it repeatedly turned itself back on during the night, causing further disturbance. Unfortunately, the hotel later dismissed the urine issue by saying housekeeping had not reported anything. Very disappointing.

A very pleasant stay! We stayed for just one night, and we had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and ideal for what we needed. The location was also very convenient, especially for us as we were looking for something close to the train station. Everything was just right for a short stay, and we would definitely recommend this hotel!

The location is a bit far from the old town. Having said that the hotel did provide city transit passes which were very helpful. The room was very quiet and the breakfast very good. We stayed in building B and the staff member there was very helpful in spite of our many questions. Because of the extremely hot weather we would have liked to use the ceiling fan through the night. However it seemed like the fan would only work when the lights were on. This would be our main complaint.

Nothing Shower broken. Fan broken. It gets really hot at night and there’s no AC. The layout of the room is ridiculously small. Our room of 3 is basically a room for one person. Towels are dirty with stains on them and they smell like bodily fluid. Bed is literally the thinnest mattress I’ve ever seen and the pillow is just another blanket basically. If you need something after 8, that sucks for you because there’s 0 service and no one in reception
