Everyone was so helpfull

Stayed three nights. Great location and very good breakfast. Michelle at the front desk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay again.

The A/C didn't work well at night. No matter how we set the thermostat, the room did not cool off until about 4am. The shower was in a separate room from the rest of the bathroom. And inside the tiny shower itself, the shower head only pointed at the opposite wall, making things very difficult. The buffet breakfast was ok. Warm and with many options, but not very tasty. It's a historic building. If that is important, you might not care about everything else. But know that the photos are very misleading. The images are stretched a lot to make the rooms look larger. In person you see that the fancy elevator is just a facade and everything is small, very old and worn out. We thought we were getting a good deal, but considering the construction, the poor A/C and the frustrating shower, I think we overpaid.

Very friendly, helpful staff, both front desk & housekeeping. I won't forget the gentleman working the breakfast bar. He kept the dining area clean.

Wine tasting, great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. Pleasant stay!

The hotel’s location is very good, but the service and the staff’s attention are poor. They did not clean my room, they did not leave me clean towels.

Great location, great price, great people.

Expedia did not inform us of the construction next to the hotel that won't be done until summer 2028. This is a historic boutique hotel that does not have a restaurant on site. Nice deco, but we hated the weird, musky smell of our room. But their breakfast was fresh. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Valet has a lot to be desired. They're contracted. They ONLY park and RETRIEVE your car. They do not help you out, unload, bring your luggage to your room, etc. Nor was my information online updated to show actual progress of my retrieval. Waited almost 40 minutes one time, and the second time my app didn't even tell me my vehicle was being retrieved but had been waiting as we arrived downstairs. Overall, the location was great, hotel staff friendly, but ok for 2 night stay.

All was better than I could have expected. Super nice and helpful staff, large and very comfortable and clean room, an exquisite breakfast.. and again, the friendliest and most helpful staff!
-
This was a great overnight stay. The staff encountered were very helpful. The breakfast was decent. It is an older building so that must be taken into consideration, but the rooms were as tidy as they could be, and having access to all of the downtown amenities was a major plus.

historical hotel was beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast was amazing
-
Excellent location, the hotel is colonial style, very clean and a good comfort ♥️
-
Great place to stay...parking is a bit pricey but the hotel is outstanding.
-
The room was absolutely beautiful. I had trouble finding the entrance because of the construction and the front desk worker stayed on the phone with me while I drove there with my son so we didn’t get lost again. It was SO NICE. The room had beautiful windows and I want whatever matress they have in there because it was the best sleep! We could walk to the Alamo in about 30 seconds and the riverwalk in about 2 minutes. The breakfast was insane for a hotel (SO GOOD). We loved our stay. I didn’t want to leave!

Perfecto para lo que buscábamos.

Wonderful location! The staff was very helpful in answering questions about downtown parking. The property itself is incredibly charming. It has that historic feel instead of being just another boring, cookie cutter hotel.
