Hotel Parador Margarita

I like best the perfect location, on a quiet street within walking distance of sites of interest and great restaurants and shops. I also like the beautiful and spacious building, lots of greenery, birds in the courtyard, stained glass windows in some rooms. Also, the breakfast was delicious, lots of food in a very nice dining room with friendly and efficient staff. A big negative is that there is no coffee maker in the room. What’s the point of having a lovely room with courtyard view if you can’t start the day with coffee or tea early in the morning?

The location, the rooms need remodel especially the bathrooms.

The hotel was exactly what I had hoped it would be. Classic, colonial, well kept with beautiful interior garden spaces. Our room was on the top floor and we had some pretty views over the rooftops. The room was very spacious and well-equipped. Excellent hot shower. The location was great, just a few blocks to the town center and close to so many great eateries. Big plus...secure parking.

Colonial style, new build. Third floor rooms 30-35, have great 180 degree views, My room 30 large and comfortable. 3 blocks walk to restaurants. Quiet. Staff helpful when pressed. Ground floor rooms dark and lack privacy. Breakfast only, Poor coffee. Bar available only on Saturday. Another hotel with similar name "Margurita".

Wonderful location and the hotel had a beautiful courtyard and places to relax. The staff were exceptional - friendly, helpful and sweet.

Lovely spacious hotel in the heart of San Cristobal de las Casas, which has lots of nice plants and small inner garden, offering tasty breakfast and excellent service from all personnel. The beds in the rooms are very good for sleeping, with adequate covers and there is silence around the whole hotel. You feel tranquil and well received, and even on a busy holiday week didn’t feel crowded at all. Very close to downtown, and it has a parking garage as well. Very good value for the money. Nothing really, it was pleasant, maybe a bit of maintenance in the bathroom details. Apart from that, we really enjoyed our stay here.

Comfortable beds, great location. Very quiet at night. The staff is very kind and the building itself is gorgeous. Please consider replacing the individually wrapped single-use soap bars or small bottles with refillable soap dispensers. This option is significantly more environmentally sustainable and doesn’t affect the guest experience in any way.

Quiet, not far from restaurants and shops, clean, well maintained, courteous staff. Toiletries are provided daily. Shower floor is too slippery, maybe a small, plastic mat would help.

Design, lovely garden, nice restaurant and spacious room and bed. The room was quite cool but San Cristóbal is quite high above sea level so that’s probably to be expected!
