I felt like I was on an Hawaiian resort! Great property, and nice staff!

The parking was a little wonky but definitely fit the Hawaii style theme resort. Me and my partner spent majority of time out and about in San Diego and LA but the pool and spa were great. The additional $20 a day that Expedia did not warn us about or $25 a day for parking would have been helpful to know up front but overall great stay! :) very clean

Friendly staff, great dining options nearby, beautiful grounds that are very nicely maintained! Only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because the room was a bit musty and some of the electrical sockets didn’t work.

Clean rooms, great pool and hot tub. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Great property to travel with kids! Many amenities onsite and helpful staff. Only downside was dated carpeting and fixtures in rooms, needs an update!

Nice quiet place

The property is beautiful and love coming here. The only issues we had was that we did not have a great view and the AC was loud when it turned on and off.

The staff here is AMAZING! Very attentive and welcoming compared to other hotels in the area. Feels more personal when you stay here vs the large chain hotels. Amenities are wonderful! Room was very spacious and location of hotel is great! Walking distance to a coffee shop and a few restaurants. Used to stay at a chain hotel in SD but after staying here, Humphreys will be my new SD hotel!

Great food Great bar and entertainment

Comfortable room but not very relaxing outdoors. Stay was two nights, Thursday/Friday. Rowdy crowd both nights- extremely loud and very inebriated guests at the pool, fire-pits, and concert venue. Not sure if this is a crowd they normally draw or just a fluke. Restaurant was subpar for the price point. In contrast, the Town and Country Resort was far better!

The gentleman who helped us at the front desk was kind and helpful, apologized for the mistake, but was not very knowledgeable of the map of the rooms, or the procedures with the guest discount procedures. We were charged a MANDATORY $20 per night fee to help cover wifi, and resort discounts. We were not told how to apply these discounts. When we asked about it we were told the restaurant “should be able to AUTOMATICALLY apply the 10% restaurant discount.” When it wasn’t applied automatically, and we asked about it after the fact, the front desk told us they weren’t able to apply these discounts because they couldn’t “access that system.” When we asked about it at the restaurant we were told “we aren’t able to access last nights transactions.” So, we were charged a mandatory fee, but didn’t receive the discounts. We were also not able to “opt out” of this fee even though we weren’t able to apply the discounts. Fees like this, extra sur charges, etc. are what make it so difficult to enjoy a vacation. We were given $50 off our stay for the room inconveniences. The resort had several fun events, concerts, and activities like free bikes, and outdoor movies. The koi pond and parrots were beautiful.

We didn’t make use of all of the amenities, but for the price point, there’s a lot to choose from. Upon check in, the staff was friendly and informative (I think her name was Nately). The hotel itself gave me Costa Rica vibes, very lush and tropical. It is right next to a performance venue. We didn’t go to the show but popped in. I would have love to have gone. The music act was entertaining. Overall, the location is great and I would recommend this hotel to friends.

As a warning, if you're on the second floor you *will* have to haul all your stuff up some stairs, and parking in certain parts of the lot can get competitive. If you can stop at Marvelous Muffins on Shelter Island Dr., I recommend it - they have absolutely (and tasty!) huge breakfast croissant sandwiches that I got daily.

Clean place, wonderful location, and all around good stay. I would come back, but I would check the event schedule first. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with a concert and a wedding on property during our stay. We pre-checked in at 9 am and they assured me they would call when our rooms were ready. We finally waited in a long check-in line a little after 4pm and asked and sure enough they were ready, just no call. Not the biggest issue, but with a tired 1 year old needing a nap we were anxious to get into our room. Then we got into our room and the pack and play they assured me would be there wasn't. We alerted them and by the time we went to dinner still didn't have it. No nap for the little one. Thankfully upon the third request we had it when we returned from dinner and proceeded to have a good stay.

This is my 3rd time staying here. Staff is always helpful and the suite was perfect for my family (it was 5 of us).

Nice hotel overall There is event just near the hotel and every night there was a party and my kids couldn't sleep adn we can't hear ourself. The sound was so loud. I told to the hotel but they didn't help us at all
