San Diego Downtown Lodge

I had a situation where my key card de-magnetized and staff were not present on site. I waited until 4 in the morning outside the office. I attempted calls, the bell, with no answer. I ended up having to find alternative accomodation my last night of my stay. I brought it up with the morning staff and there was no acknowledgement of the situation.

Awesome and relaxing

This place is just for sleeping. Do not bring your family here, it’s not ideal. This place is meant for young men in their 20s to stay and go around downtown. There were ants in the shower, there is no parking, and this place is right off the freeway. I would not recommend for long stays.

We had a homeless woman knocking on our door trying to enter. The office staff chased her away.

Fortunately I did not have to stay overnight as I was only there for a concert and needed a place to park and leave my belongings in. The place was not cleaned very well. The toilet had skid marks, it was disgusting! I wiped down all surfaces I could with sani wipes. When I took a closer look at the bed, there were dead bugs on the sheets. I understand "you get what you pay for"...but even the cleanliness in the cheapest hotel is a must and unfortunately this place was just not it.

horrible hotel, very dirty and dangerous location right off the freeway we witnessed an accident to 2am the morning

No room service, towels were not changed, neither were the sheets, hair EVERYWHERE.

Room was good. Staff was very helpful. Parking situation is a nightmare. Hotel worth the price. Parking makes you wanna stay somewhere else.

Doors wouldn’t open, mold and blood on towels, ants and spiders on bed and floor, staff used master key to open my room while I was still in bed, they opened it without knocking

I would not recommend it it unsanitary and looks nothing like the photos

had to change rooms because the shower head water was exploding into the ceiling room didn’t look clean or smell clean felt disgusting just the air family of ants live in each room you stay coming from the shower just overall was super cheap but definitely not worth the only 20 min walk to petco the rooms just aren’t how they seem to appear needs to be bought and fixed up
