The hotel, staff, rooms and service are ok but the location is awsome.

Awesome experience. Always our go to spot for Southern California.

Personable staff. Large, well-appointed room. Great view. Extra fees on top of room price disappointing.
-
The only downside was the bed wasn’t very comfortable and you could hear a lot of noise in the room.

Great stay. They were kind enough to change our room as we didn’t like our previous room. Stayed for 5 night!!

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We were in the large block of hotel rooms on the 6th floor. The room was very clean, but the toilet, while it flushed, made a very loud noise. It took 3 trips to the reception desk (one per day) to get it taken care of. (I did learn there was a new system, so that might have been an issue.) They comped our resort fees because of the trouble, which I thought was excellent. I didn't have to ask for that, so that was also a bonus. The food on-site is delicious, the pool was clean, minus one hot tub, and the service was a little on the slow side, but maybe that's the California pace. All our servers were very nice. I will say, it says on the resort amenities that there are beach chairs and umbrellas, but these were not out in the bay area.

The room was fairly clean when we first got there. The resort looks a bit dated on the outside and the resort fees are quite high for a location with just one central pool. A decent experience, but not anything extraordinary.

It’s older feeling. Our room smelled kind of like an old musty smell but it was decently clean and quite large. Bathroom felt newer. Only thing was the nice big couch faced the same direction as the tv so you couldn’t sit in the couch to watch tv so that living area didn’t get used as we always had to sit on the bed is watching tv.
-
Another downside was that the reception staff didn't seem to know about the events taking place at the hotel, making it difficult to get information during our stay. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience, but for the price, I expected much better attention to cleanliness and service.

Just had some cons which is what lowered my rating. The room did not have a microwave and our TV was glitchy. The location on Mission Bay is not the best as there is nothing walkable (the active part of Mission Bay is on the other side). Fun hotel though.

The property in the public areas is nice for the most part and the location being right on the beach is great. For the price, you can stay elsewhere that would feel much more in-line with what this resort charges while getting the experience of said prices. The rooms are dated and sub-par along with the fitness center being of the same grade. It was small with multiple cardio machines not functioning and crowding of machines and free weights to make it challenging when 5 or more people are using it. The Kids Corner activity center was closed for "storage" and the discount offered via the hotel for bike rentals was not valid at the actual bike rental facility on the beach in front of the hotel. The food options are geared toward a "fine dining" experience which made evening meals not ideal for a family dinner nor were the vegetarian options available appetizing. The poolside restaurant during the day had the best food options and wasn't bad. Last but not least, on the day of departure we received a knock on the door at 11:05 AM to which I notified the man doing room checks that we would be vacating within 5 minutes and he responded with check out is at 11:00 AM and walked away. Shocking, as I've stayed many places in the world and never had that happen. At any rate, the location is nice but I'd suggest Omni or Paradise Pointe as options to look at for similar pricing. Personally, we won't be back to this place but everyone has their own preferences, this was not for us.

Dates hotel. Room smelled like wet dog. We requested something to help with them smell and they said they would bring something. No snow. $46 for parking per day is excessive. Other than that, everything was fine for an older hotel. Nice location.

Check in staff waa ok

The room wasn’t clean and there were insects on the curtains. The balcony was so dirty.

The resort was excellent! My family and I typically stay in a condo on the beach, however, this time we opted to stay off of the beach for financial reasons, and we couldn’t have been happier with Mission Bay Resort. The room was spacious (two queen bed room), and clean. The food at the restaurants felt pricey, however, the food was delicious! The pool didn’t have a typical hotel feel of a small square and was very kid friendly. It was very close to Sea World and only about 3-4 miles to Belmont park. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We truly had such a great experience and will be back again!

Resort is beautiful over all with views of the bay. However, when we arrived he bed sheets and blanket were dirty but since it was past midnight and we were tired we isn't make a fuss about it. Also the kids pool and spa eas dirty. Not sure if the filter was working for those. Besides that everything else was awesome, friendly staff. Love the activities, amenities to rent beach chairs etc. That's why I give it a 4/5.
