SureStay Hotel By Best Western San Diego Pacific Beach

It was a typical Best Western. It gives the impression that it is a little bit at higher grade or quality, but it really is not. Hallway was a little bit noisy in the evening and the staff was not friendly.

The free breakfast was terrible. No OJ as machine was out of order. Waffle machine was not working very well and the ‘powder’ eggs if that is what they were OMG terrible. Lastly, the location is nice, however there appears to be somewhat of a homeless problem around hotel and parking lots.

House keepers very nice and helpful and so was front desk .

First off, this is a MOTEL and NOT a HOTEL, as advertised. This place is really an old dump, they painted the interior walls and exterior doors a designer green color. Hardly a renovation. Was booked a double, but told at check-in it was for a single even though I had a verified reservation in hand. Their solution was to offer to cancel for free... hardly useful when I just drove 7 hours to get there. Everything is sold out within the area, not exactly a solution. Accepted a single and made it work because I had no other choice. If you're looking for a place to watch drug users hangout on the outdoor walkway or the homeless rustle around, talking to themselves (drugs are bad, mkay) and sleeping in the parking lot... this is the place!

Tiny, but clean room! Did the trick for a 1 night stay.

There was a strong urine smell around entire property. Breakfast was basically cereal. Waffle machine not working. Elevator also smell bad and in bad condition. Bathroom/shower had yellow stains. Honestly bad smell and rooms are too basic.

Traffic .. but that’s not hotels fault

Nothing Beds were dirty I found a water worm on bed breakfast area was dirty breakfast muffins were old

Overall, we had a great stay. The hotel was clean, the room was spacious, and I really liked the layout. Everything felt well designed and comfortable. The air conditioning struggled a bit to keep the room cool, but it wasn't a major issue. The biggest drawback was the parking—there weren't enough parking spaces, and I received a call at 6:00 a.m. asking me to move my vehicle. Other than that, it was a great experience, and I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel is old and not well maintained in very much need of a renovation. Breakfast was not very good also. Not much to choose from. Staff is nice. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Bugs in our room. Asked for room to be cleaned and it never was. Staff never addressed our complaints. Found dead bugs in the bed. When I told the staff about the bug situation all she did was hand me a bottle of bug spray. Place is a joke.

The room and bathroom were clean. The staff was friendly. Due to comic con and other events going on in the area the room rate was a bit steep. Probably won't look to stay again but it was clean and a place to sleep when we needed it. It would be great to maybe put clocks with type c outlets or even the power outlets with type c outlets.

Location in relation to things to do in San Diego Not sufficient/monitored parking, we left to go to dinner and the movies and came back and the only parking that was left was one spot directly in front of the office in a space that doesn’t look meant for parking or safe at all. The walls are thin, you can hear movement and noise from nearby rooms. Rooms are very small and beds are really uncomfortable.

Terrible  Horrible  Disgusting  -  There is not enough space to list all the negatives about this hotel experience!  I had a 3 day reservation thru Booking.com.  I called the property the morning of my arrival to confirm my reservation and request an ADA room - both confirmed on that call.  The same person who confirmed called me back and advised my payment information was not current and I said I could read him a current credit card for my Booking.com account right then and he said No that's fine we'll just update it when you arrive.  I arrive about 6 pm and the young woman on the desk tells me Your reservation has been CANCELLED!!!  No option to stay.  No discussion...basically get out of here, her manager cancelled my reservation!  I assume the manager saw an opportunity to not honor the Booking.com rate for my 3 night stay, cancelled my reservation so my room could be sold at much higher rate.  The most distasteful experience I have ever had at a hotel but a blessing in a way.  This Best Western hotel looks like a gulag - outside entry to all rooms on all floors, outside steel staircases that look dangerous, a front lobby that looks like a security zone and a front desk employee who was memorable for all the wrong reasons.  DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

For the amount of money that was spent on this room $800 for 2 days NOT WORTH IT!!, it should have been way way better!! When you get to this motel the outside walls pain looked like a nasty hotel 6. #2 the room floors were still dirty.i got out the shower and dirt & sand were stuck to my feet on the short walk from the restroom to the bed #3 the bathroom was so small the bathrrom door kept hitting the tiolet #4 the AC unit didn't really cool the room down and last but not least #5 the front desk mixed my name up with another person staying there so their reservation was added to mine. i kept getting calls from the front desk to come down and sign something and help fix their mistake!! Really?! Their mistake?? Finally the last call to the room was around 10:30 pm and I was fed up by then. This is the WORST MOTEL EVER!! to bad that I had made the reservation 3 months in advance. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL UNLESS YOU ENJOY A DIRTY ROOM AND NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS THE WHOLE STAY!L

Didn't love banging noises from adjacent room in the middle of night and noise from street traffic.

The breakfast was fresh but it was very warm in the room because the door was open and only one of the A/C units was on.

This hotel doesn’t have enough parking for its customers. After driving 12 hours to get there, I Was told to come back to check in at a later time or next day if we wanted to get parking. Had to be back daily around 8:30-9ish in fear of not being able to find parking. I Was also not able to cancel or change anything about our stay without loosing all of our money and staff was not helpful and unwilling to help. Over all not happy with our stay (3days). Room was also very small and Was also told if we wanted room service or cleaning we would have to ask for it, not automatic.

all the corridors lead to rooms are dirty and smell homeless urine ,services are poor because the stuff are restricted to help and poor breakfast and air condition is very old.....

The breakfast was fresh and nice, the pool was clean except for pollen and bees , check in was easy and front desk gentleman was very efficient, he helped 2 of us checking in and helped a customer over the phone. He was very kind.. More towels or pool towels
