Great location

Great stay for the Noah Kahan concert. The sweet lady at the front desk upgraded us to a premium suite because it was my wife’s birthday. We had a wonderful time!

great location and the hotel had the new Orleans vive

We had a great staycation at the Horton Grand. We found the hotel to be the kind of historic, quaint we love. We took our bicycles and were able to ride everywhere we wanted to go due to the outstanding location in the Gaslamp, so close to everything like the Embarcadero and Little Italy (which you can also get to on foot or by trolley). A big criterion for me is bed comfort, and the bed was very comfortable. Our room was extremely spacious; we had a suite with room for our bikes, although the hotel would have stored them for us. We also had drinks at Salt and Whisky and a light dinner (Ceasar Salad with Steak), which I loved. We both said during our stay that we would definitely stay here again. Loved everything about it.

Very rustic charm! No it's not haunted!! Fireplace system is very old. I would think twice before igniting it.

Pretty property, bed comfortable. I waited a minute to long for the courtesy upgrade, it was gone. Room a bit small. staff was helpful and pleasant. Fabulous location.

3rd time I have stayed there for business. I would rate them excellent if they would integrate the Salt and Whiskey into the business better. They don't share payment systems so the bill can't be added to the room bill. The menu certainly is lacking. Its not really a

Parking was located 2 blocks a day at half the Hotel price. Would have been nice to have coffee offered in the mornings. As it was, you had to walk at least two blocks to buy coffee. Bath tubs need grab bars for safety. Overall, a great place to stay.

Great location and staff
-
Great place to stay! Walking distance to the Convention center, to the Rady Shell amphitheater, and to the restaurants and bars in Gas Lamp. The hotel is very nice and the staff was great.
-
Excellent location, fantastic and spacious room, very friendly staff- overall great!

This property is in an excellent location and well maintained for an older hotel. Walls are thin. Staff is nice.

We dined (Happy Hour) at Salt & Whiskey and the service was fantastic. They happened to be short-handed by a chef for an evening with a sold-out concert at Petco but you would never know. It was chaotic for the staff but we never felt rushed or felt their stress. Kudos to the staff. We’ll definitely be back! PS - the only issue I had was there wasn’t an available outlet in the restroom but totally understandable due to the history of the hotel.
-
We stayed there only two nights but it felt like a vacation! We loved the Courtyard and all of the antiques representing the history of the hotel. The room was lovely and clean. It was a great location, right in the middle of everything we wanted to experience.

Staff was amazing

I love this classic hotel from another era. A shout out to Victor Ivy. He was very helpful and a good guy. I give him five stars.
-
Love the Old Charm of the Hotel. Staff was very friendly. And the location is excellent.

Exceptional

Excellent location in a great neighborhood for exploring and being able to walk to many attractions. The courtyard rooms overlook a patio where there was a wedding with music so loud one could not watch tv even with doors and windows closed. They warned me on check in but one might want to ask ahead if sensitive to noise. It’s also very easy to hear what people are doing on their balconies. Use your imagination.

Staying at the Horton Grand was an amazing experience. Our grandson came in from out of town, and we stayed here because it was so close to Petco Park for a Padres game. He loved the hotel, and so did the rest of our party. I would highly recommend staying here. It was just a very memorable experience.
