Reviews
-
The location is perfect for people wanting to see everything in a short time.
-
The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Staff was very helpful whenever needed.

I was disappointed in this property. The location is exceptional, but that’s about it. It’s clearly very, very dated. I was surprised by the good reviews. This hotel needs a lot of work. The guest room and hallways were pretty dirty and unkempt and grimy. Lots of dust everywhere. I really hope the Argonaut is not resting on its laurels. Starting to resembled a tired Disneyland attraction.

Beautiful Bay Area

We stayed as a family of four for our first trip to San Francisco. The Argonaut was the perfect location to see so many sights and easy to get around - walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf/Sea Lions, shops, North Beach Neighborhood, and Ghirardelli Square. The room was very clean and comfortable, as was the hotel lobby. The staff were very kind and friendly. Our kids absolutely LOVED the treasure hunt!! The Argonaut was lovely!

Very comfortable bed. Lots of places to walk to and see. Great restaurants all around. Not recommended for overnight parking.
-

Lovely hotel. Great location. Everything was perfect.
-
Good and safe location. I’ve been to SF many times and Fisherman’s Wharf is a good choice considering Union Square is not what it used to be. If you like a nautical themed historical hotel this is the place for you. If you want clean, modern and stylish, this hotel is not it. I felt the rooms were outdated with a vintage bath/shower that had average water pressure. Rooms were a good size. The hotel only has 4 floors but lots of rooms on each floor. We had to walk quite a distance to the elevator. It’s was over US$400 a night which is pricey.

Wonderful location for Fisherman's Wharf, cable cars, Alcatraz, Golden Gate Bridge cruise port with great onsite restaurant. Worked great for our pre-cruise stay.
