We were in town for a music showcase at The Faight on Haight We will be back for the next show in SF to use the podcast studio! Thanks for having such a cool venue, great location. Bad news of the stay- My car window was smashed and the person stole my mother’s ashes & some other family heirlooms. I saw the guy wearing one of my hats he stole from my car a few days later walking by Music City. Please let me know if you see the smash and grab on your flock camera!

The pod equipped with an in-build fan, a few USB ports, adjustable lighting and a pull-down screen for privacy. Cleaning staff was fab in making sure all facilities are cleaned top to bottom. Location is about 20-30min walk to main tourist attractions, but plenty of restaurants and bars in the neighborhood anyways. And if you want to see some 'real' life of the homeless (by no means malicious), this is a great place to be. Guests are generally not great in keeping the restrooms clean despite cleaners' effort in keeping them immaculate every morning. Reception staff were generally nice, but information given is not necessarily the best, e.g. how to get to the airport, recommendations. The mattress was thin, so the bed felt hard on a board. There's no kitchen so to speak, but the fridge in the room is handy

The music theme and decorations are great. There seems to be a lack of ventilation in the two bathrooms that services the wing of rooms I stayed in. Learnt lesson lock your things even if away a short time credit cards vanished somehow from my wallet left in my capsule while in the bathroom. Thin foam padding was horrible for a side sleeper like myself. The bedding did not look washed from last guest. Parking is terrible. My windows in my car were smashed, car ransacked, expensive bike stolen and my other important items. Even with tinted windows and covering stuff. Thieves randomly smash windows in this area.I would highly advise to take a paid transit service and not driving here, not a car friendly area, lots of parking restrictions.I had left my phone cord plugged in. Security in the area appears to be non existent. I flagged a policeman down while driving whom said report to the police station or go online. Guess they had other crime to solve. It is so sad as I have lived in SF before, to see it in such a dysfunctional disarray breaks my heart. It is such a beautiful city that I still plan to visit, just not this area or overnight.

The room was a shared bathroom which was a minus but a very interesting hotel and place especially for those inspired by all things musical.

No AC in the rooms. Was completely hot in there and was too uncomfortable to stay. Although at least the staff were friendly and helpful.

For being in a pretty prime location, you’re pretty close to the piers at fishermen’s wharf the pricing is cheap! Other hotels range from $100 & up per night. The only thing is that this is a hostel so you will be sharing the room & the bathroom/showers for that floor. They clean well & often but it does get messy which is expected. Homeless in the area attempt to come in but staff is good at escorting them out. You use your room key to get in your room & bathroom/showers which is good.

    - Clean. Daily service. - Decor. The rock and roll theme permeates everything. - Helpful staff. I had an issue with my door (it didn't close) and they fixed it right away. - Location. Easy access to everywhere in the city. Cons: - Old building. Things look used and I think it's time to replace the carpet. - Weak shower. It takes time to warm up. - Ok bed. The mattress has springs.
