I reserved this room specifically because they list on-site valet parking. There is a big sign in front saying they offer valet parking, Guess what they don't offer? Valet parking. My son was driving to the city by himself for the first time and we were trying to make getting around as easy as possible (i.e. valet the car for the duration of the trip). Really wished the information was accurate on Hotels.com and in front of the hotel.

Very nice little hotel for folks on a budget. The hotel itself is very old style San Francisco Edwardian, but the rooms were very clean and modern. The staff was friendly but we didn’t see them a lot. The neighborhood is very walkable with access to restaurants and amenities. We would definitely recommend it to folks.

Economical and interesting building. Good location. Checks all the boxes for a room in the city.

Honestly I didn’t know how to feel going into my experience here based off the other reviews but I was thoroughly impressed! Keep in mind, I am in my mid 20’s and came with friends to enjoy nightlife and tourist-y things in the city. The location was perfect, it wasn’t bougie in the slightest and if you prefer more upscale hotels I wouldn’t recommend this to you. But if you are someone like me who is coming for the memories and want a nice, comfortable and super convenient place to stay, I highly recommend this place. I promise I’m not some random bot I really just felt there weren’t many middle ground reviews of this place. Maybe it was the memories I made that let me view the hotel in a great light, but I honestly would stay here again 100%.

The hotel has lots of charm, some may even say a bit of a “The Shining” vibe to the hallway, stairs and rooms. It feels like a place with lots of history (hauntings??). My bed was lumpy and old but everything was clean. It was small but I didn’t need much. It has a single-occupancy hotel feel. The property needs some fixing up (lots of knocks from all the years, I’m sure). Staff was helpful and the location is pretty great.

Nothin. We didn’t stay on this hotel. Place that thwy posted on booking.com is far different in person. And it’s smells bad and feels like it’s not safe and a ghetto.

The place is beautiful, the beds were comfortable, love that it had a microwave and fridge. However, I was hot all night. The ceiling fan didn't help. I tried opening the window but it looked like they were permanently shut. I was uncomfortably hot all night and there was no AC. I'm honestly not sure I'll stay here for that reason.

I was really looking forward to staying at this hotel, but I was disappointed. The room looked much bigger in the photos, but the one I received felt very small. I had booked a larger room, yet it didn’t seem like I was given the room I expected. Overall, it was quite disappointing because the actual room did not match what was advertised.

Nothing The area and the room was not what I expected the place smelled and if I were staying longer I would have left.

The proximity to Union Square and Chinatown were nice. The room was clean. The stairs were very small, making it challenging to walk with a suitcase. There is an elevator but it’s a bit awkward to use due to its size and age. There is no lobby for check in. The rooms are very small, the sheets were rough and the bed was not very comfortable. It took a long time for the water in the shower to warm up. We asked for rooms close to our family but were on separate floors. The place smells old and the light fixtures in the halls were falling off. It felt old and worn.
-
It is an old house and the sound insulation is quite poor, but the location is excellent, very close to the city center. If you are not expecting anything luxurious or exceptional, it is perfectly fine for a short stay.

Best stay for solo travelers.
