We liked the hotel itself a lot; but probably would have picked one closer to attractions if we knew the city better. Great deal for the price!

Super clean, friendly staff, great location. Rooms were well renovated. Simple, modern, uncluttered. Location is quiet with corner stores, cafes, and restaurants nearby. Id definitely stay here again. Felt super safe.

We were so happy with our stay at hotel Julian. The location is great and for the price point it would be hard to find something nicer. The restaurant/bar on the first floor was great, and the bar tender was one of the most helpful people we talked to with fantastic suggestions and advice for our short stay. Do yourself a favor and stay here

Angel was great. She did her best to resolve my initial issue of us being told there was no room available and the confirmed double queen room i booked had not been available for quite some time. Not sure how we were able to book and get confirmation via booking .com. I was told manager was going to call me to discuss my issues, but no one ever has. First, I booked, and it was confirmed, a room with 2 queen beds for my 20 year old daughter and I to attend a concert. We arrived only to be told there was no room available. The young lady, Angel I believe, was excellent. Very friendly, very professional and very helpful. She was able to solve the problem, but it unfortunately was by having 2 separate rooms, which was quite disappointing as I was looking forward to spending time with my daughter as this was supposed to be a special couple of days for us. The final straw for me was my electricity in my room went out, at the bed outlets and the TV, 3 times. I use a Cpap and when the power goes out my machine stops and that is an issue for me as no cpap means no sleep, waking up gasping for air with a sore throat because the cpap isn't working is a terrible experience. Twice during the night, no power...strangely, it was not AC or bathroom, they were fine. I searched for gfi's to reset, but nothing. The 3rd time it went out, I was drinking coffee and watching TV because I could not get back to sleep. I went to the front desk to notify them of the repeated problems and ask them to warn the maintenance team to check the outlets at the head of the bed before something worse happened, like a fire. I was not at all happy. I was told the manager would contact me. Never did. When we checked out at 10:45, the clerk again told me that the manager was going to contact me to discuss the issues and I would be offered a discount due to the issues I reported. Still, neither of those two things have happened...pretty frustrated and very disappointed over the entire situation. Again, my daughter and I didnt get the time together that we had planned. Angel at the front desk was warm, helpful and friendly. The property was recently refreshed and the decor is on spot with art deco style. I’d definitely stay again.

It was walking distance to the Masonic where we enjoyed a show.

Great location. Clean room

Great location for carless hotel guests. We were able to Uber, walk, and use the trolley to explore the city. Plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries near by. Oracle park is a short distance and accessible by foot. Coffee is provided every morning in the lobby along with a continental breakfast. Neighborhood is safe during the day, but I'd be careful at night. All in all a great stay and I would come back again next time I'm in town.
