Star Motel

We were pleasantly surprised by this motel. The facility appeared to have been recently updated and the decor is awesome. The grounds are well kept, and the staff are very friendly. Most importantly, it’s centrally located. We were going to a night event at Fort Mason, and it was close enough to walk. When we walked back, we felt very safe. Would highly recommend.

Great location, facilities were okay. Bed was really uncomfortable, linen was bad and the bathroom was clogged.

It was well maintained and obviously updated. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. The free parking is a nice bonus in San Francisco. Some traffic noise due to room being right near the street

Sam was very helpful from the moment I called to see if they had early check in, to the moment I checked out. He was quick to pick up the phone and very kind and helpful when checking us in. Clean, self parking, kind and helpful staff. The staff cleaning the rooms were also kind and would smile or greet us as they walked by even when they looked busy. Can’t wait to return! I definitely know where we will be staying.

The Star Motel is very clean, rooms have been updated nicely, and the property is neat and tidy. Parking is secure. Housekeeping is excellent. We stayed for three nights, over a weekend, and the neighborhood is quiet, Location is good, easy walking distance to Chestnut Street, Union, and Polk for eating and shopping. Close to the Marina. Lots of public transportation stops in the near vicinity. Will visit again!
