Buena Vista Motor Inn

It went well. Nothing fancy but the view of GG Bridge was perfect. Very convenient location.

One negative I'd highlight is the hotel remains accessible day and night without need to use card access to the hotel or hotel floors or the lifts which poses security concern particularly at night when reception is shut down

Check-in was bizarre- there was a staff member behind the counter but they could not check you in. You had to interact with a Kiosk with a person on Zoom- strange. Rooms were fine- though the blankets were thin. If you get cold make sure to bring layers to sleep in.

Great location right downtown. Close to everything. Fee parking available with limited spaces. Would suggest arriving early. Nice property. Was a fridge but no microwave in room. Would stay there again.

Free parking was awesome, but fills up on weekends.

We liked the clean rooms. Comfortable stay. Parking car was sometimes difficult on tight spots.

There is parking, but not always guaranteed 🙄 since it's not reserved parking & tight there. And we had to go to another parking garage that was far away. There's a virtual check out person there but hardly anyone at the front lobby. The vibe there wasn't all that great definitely will NOT be going there ever again and would definitely not recommend it to other future guests.

Everything from check in to check out was easy. The staff was very professional and helpful with area information . Free underground parking….big plus in San Francisco. Felt very safe in this area. Room was very clean and kept in great repair for this vintage motor inn. Loved it. Felt like back in the 50’s. So convenient to everything by bus which stops right in front and ends at Fisherman’s Wharf. Take bus 28. There are other bus’s that stop here but not sure where they go. Download the Munnimobile app. Lots of help and purchase ride tickets there. There’s a nice little sitting area in a garden patio at the back of the inn.

Stayed for two nights last weekend and was a big fan of the location, the size of the room, and the helpfulness of the staff! Would definitely stay again if I visit SF again.

The room was big and clean. Also close to downtown. The only problem was you could hear everything from the other room. Wish it was more soundproof

I loved how the room was cleaner the second day. The Manager that helped me the morning after our arrival was super nice and welcoming. I did not like how the first night a front desk rep refused to to give me more then 2 towels when I had 4 guest staying with me. I wanted extra sheets because the ones on our beds had several hairs. This experience made me feel very uncomfortable. The hotel looked a bit Dusty the first night. The great thing was that next morning the staff cleaned the room better.

Parking is advertised, but not guaranteed. Spent over 20 min looking for parking. Room smelled a little damp-not sure if it’s a Bay Area scent based on radius to the sea.

Advertises that they serve a free breakfast, but none was available. Advertises, they have free parking, but it is limited and tight in a very small parking ramp even for a compact car.

I liked the location of the hotel and the fact that it had onsite parking.
