Quaint rooms with a very nice location.

Be mindful that staying in the middle of the city on a Saturday night is not quiet. This is a historic building and doesn't have great windows to block noise. There also is no air conditioning, but I stayed in mid-August and the temp barely broke 70 degrees so it was always comfortable in the room. My room had a mini-fridge and there is a Trader Joe's a block away so I saved a lot on food by keeping some fresh items in my room to snack on. One complaint is that housekeeping was reduced due to heavy bookings over the weekend. I normally don't have housekeeping every day anyway but I requested replacement coffee for the Keurig the next morning and didn't receive it with almost a full 24-hour's notice. Also, the shower head didn't spray quite right. It was kind of like if someone put their thumb over the end of a hose rather than a shower. But, again, historic building. I have stayed at expensive huge chains hotels where I couldn't ever get hot water, so this was not a huge deal to me. It did the job. Overall I had a great time, room and hotel was clean, and the price for the location and amenities was just right. I would stay here again.

The staff was nice and the property was neat but they didn’t have the 2 bed room that we booked on the first night so we had to move rooms in the middle of the stay. One night of parking was comped, which was nice. The property was a bit outdated and you could here guests in other rooms but over all it was a nice stay

So for me I would recommend this hotel,
-
Staff was friendly and helpful when needed anything or directions. Felt safe with hotel key entry only. I would recommend to stay here.

Great location, transportation near by, a lot of restaurants near by. Area is safe despite seeing homeless people around. But is SFO and is everywhere. Do not panic. Hotel is old but well maintained. Beds very comfortable. Parking lot a little price but is the area. I will book it for sure again

All

No frills but good location and price.
-
Good area but old building and out of date facilities
-
The staff was extremely pleasant. Checking in was very easy. Room was clean and good for a short stay if you have business in the area. There’s plenty of stores and food within walking distance.
-
Breakfast wasn't included and parking was crazy 52 dollars a night and they keep your keys! When parking right across the street was 38 for over night you kept your keys. The room was loud like a helicopter was on the roof anytime anyone took a shower on your floor. But just to lay your head down at night it was fine.

Only complaint was I was not made aware of the $56.00 payment for parking my car overnight.

Impossible to get any sleep

I stayed for 12 days and it made for a nice home base. The timing of when the staff came in an cleaned or made up the bed was not a set schedule even though they gave notice they would only came in once a week. I think someone came in every other day. Everything was clean enough. It would have been nice if there were more hand towels in the room. The in bathroom toiletries were good. All in all it was a good stay.
-
This place was underwhelming. The staff was not friendly. The place is very old. The room was small. The carpet was dirty. It had a sour smell to it. Definitely would not recommend
-
Overpriced but okay (2/5) I do not usually write reviews but i must admit my stay at the pickwick hotel was well below my expectations. The bed was large and comfortable. In summary, although the stay was adequate it was heavily overpriced and I was expecting more from my stay at the pickwick. Firstly, the location is in an unsafe area at night, so be cautious of this. In addition on the first day the sheets were dirty the safe didnt work and the aircon blows out warm air a lot of the time. There is no circulation in the bathroom but appreciate this is an old building there was no mould. The receptionists on the whole were not very friendly especially the guy with the long hair.
-
The hotel was great to walk to from the Giants game. The staff was very friendly and nice. It is a dated hotel. But it was worth the price.
-
The facility was old and dated and did great need of an update. They had windows behind windows, both covered with layers of dirt.
-
It's in the center, accessible to all. Very good for us None except the line in trolley is very long
