DaVinci Suites

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The property is good I can’t fault it in anyway. However I would like to comment on the fact that over the years I have stayed there a number of times and not once has the management acknowledged to upgrade or to give me some sort of appreciation. I have been there several even for my birthday and there was no acknowledgment. Which of course is not a must but it would be a good thing to have some sort of appreciation too.

The lighting in the rooms is a bit too dim. Kindly put some extra lights

The location, the front desk and conceirge staff were lovely as usual. The breakfast included has definitely improved and staff there lovely. Facilities very worn down especially items in our room such as drawers, handles broken. blinds broken and not closing. Drains with foul smells never leaving. Bins missing in bathrooms. Housekeeping kept forgetting to replenish items in room such as waters, teas, coffees etc. We had to request turn down service after 4 days on none only for them to not finish it completely (later found out they are meant to ask u at check in now as they don’t offer it always anymore which we found odd for such high prices that it wasn’t offered or explained to us). We had money go missing from housekeeping and it was obvious she took it but when confronted she said arrogantly no proof so we requested a new housekeeper just for peace of mind if that was the case and they left her on the same floor was so awkward. Just overall really not worth what we paid. Felt like the place needed a huge maintenance overall and some new staff training. Very sad as we absolutely loved our previous stay there but now after this trip (even after some items were rectified on our last few days) I doubt we will go back or recommend it anytime soon…

We all work to offer solutions and in turn, make cash but if you focus more on the cash than the solution, then there is a problem. I requested a paid late checkout and I was informed it would end at 18:00hrs. My daughter had a temperature during a golf round that morning so the mother got her some medication and ruched her back to the hotel to rest and because of that, we couldn't check out exactly at 6. Then as we were getting ready to leave around 6:15, someone from the reception called to remind us of the checkout time and I apologised, explained why we were late and told her we would be down soon. We later called the concierge some minutes to eight to get our luggage out. I was shocked to be charged for overstaying by less than 2 hours after paying for an extension and explaining why we couldn't come down exactly at 6. It has nothing to do with me paying but everything to do with principles, empathy and care for your guest. I was shocked and disappointed. I decided not to share any more feedback when prompted but then, I have a relationship with Bart so that won't be fair to him.
