Clean room

Room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Shower was good. Pool was nice. Breakfast was everything we needed before the park. Location and price were amazing.

We stayed for 2 nights. Beds were not made and dirty towels not picked up. Floors were laminate but not mopped as our feet and socks got very dirty. Used a washcloth to wipe the bathroom floor as it was not clean. Trains running frequently as close to property but that was our fault for staying there. It is very close to Cedar Point. The property needs some work. Expected it to be better quality for the money it cost.

I enjoyed my recent stay at Cedar Cove. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the premises were quiet. The continental breakfast was a huge plus. My room was pretty standard and no frills, but i also liked that there was a refrigerator and microwave. The fridge wasn't terribly cold, but it was adequate. I also would have greatly appreciated a non-slip mat in the bathtub. The motel has easy access to most things one would like to do in Sandusky: shopping, parks, the mall and restaurants are only a few minutes away. Castaway Bay is within walking distance. I'd gladly stay there again.

Clean room. But mainly the staff was great! Very helpful and welcoming. The room was small, but my 7 year old and I stayed only 1 night so it was fine. Had a fridge, microwave and TV, all I need. We did bring pillows from home and glad we did bc only 2 pillows on their bed. Overall if I'm low on funds I'd go again. No coffee pot in room or cups tho

Great place for the price

The beds were comfortable the room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The ceiling in our room had some sagging areas. The shower didnt have great pressure. They could definitely use some updating. But overall a good stay for the price.

Todo muy bien el personal la habitación desayuno y el aire muy bueno

Outside conditions looked really trashy but our room was pretty decent. It was what we needed for a family of 5. There were a few minor details that the staff took care of and that went well.

the place wasn't what the picture showed. Not even close....it did have an smell like maybe a humidifier would have helped most likely.

Now for positives, we checked in late on a Monday night, was prob after midnight after a long day at Cedar Point. In spite of this, staff (I think the owner) was attentive to the TV not working when we called. He offered to switch us to a diff room, since we were already unpacked and someone in shower, he came and swapped the TV in 5 mins. We trouble shot which outlets we had that did work, so we had a palce to change our phones. AC worked great. Pool looked real good though we didn't have time to use. Continental breakfast didn't have any meat products, but otherwise was pretty solid for choices of food. Cedar Point is like a 5 min drive away, most of that on the causeway. Keep in mind we paid like a whopping $84 for this stay and booked it the night before. Bottom line folks: You get what you pay for, If my wife would have been part of our group, she would have declared we're going some where else after walking in. But she wasn't and it worked out okay for my teens and I. I'd stay there again if on a thrifty streak.

Staff was friendly, bed were comfy. Stayed only one night. Too much moisture in the room. All the kids had black feet after taking a shower because of the carpet. If you’re planning on using the pull out couch as a bed, it was not comfortable at all and only fits one person. The pool is salt water, bring goggles and eye drops if planning on swimming.

Horrible

Everything was good

The staff was great—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Unfortunately, the condition of the room did not meet our expectations. There was trash left behind from the previous guests, and when we first walked into the room, there was a puddle of water on the floor from the air conditioner leaking. In addition, the headboard of the bed was loose and appeared to be barely hanging in place. While we appreciated the excellent service from the staff, we were disappointed with the cleanliness and maintenance of the room. These issues should have been addressed before the room was made available to new guests.

Very cozy and relaxing place to stay

After reading the other reviews I was nervous and constantly checking for bugs. I only found a very small bug in our sheets crawling on the thicker blanket that had a see through exoskeleton and it wasn't a roach or anything it looked more like a baby silverfish or something i didnt know what it was but I barely could see it and I killed a spider crawling on the floor at 3am. Besides that..it was a normal motel on the 1st floor w a door opening to outside so mosquitos and such but. Nothing major. Breakfast was hard-boiled eggs yogurt banana orange oatmeal donuts muffins bread and bagels juice and a pancake machine i did not try. Neighbors were quiet weren't many people i saw there mid week but I only heard a train once before bed and I sleep with earplugs on the regular so I didnt have any problems sleeping or with noise. Id stay again as its a good price for the location and the pool was nice.

Everything was good except tv reception. Several channels pop in and out.

There was crud all over. The lamps were disgusting. The hair dryer was moldy. We were afraid to use the shower. The AC worked, but looked frightening to touch. The TV was positioned in front of the room mirror. When I reached out to Expedia to complain,we were refused a refund from the property, but got a credit from Expedia for $25. The pool was fine - useable. That’s the best thing I can say. It was a miserable stay and I would never recommend this place to anyone. We were there for Cedar Point and this property was super close. That’s the best thing! There was a cool place across the street for dining that was pretty awesome. I’m always looking to give independents a chance, but places like this make me want to stick to the names we know. Sorry Cedar Cove!

Always a pleasant stay, the salt water pool is clean, warm and a great treat late at night for kids after a long hot day at the park. Breakfast offers fruits, sweet bakery goodies and the fun pancake maker. The staff never rushes anyone out. Very close to CP. Will stay again.
