Beachview Inn

Very nice, quick walk to the beach and boardwalk.

I had a very frustrating stay at Beach View Inn in Santa Cruz, California, and cannot recommend it. Service: The staff was extremely unfriendly and unhelpful from the moment we checked in. Room & Layout: The room was cramped, tiny, and had a very poorly thought-out layout that made moving around uncomfortable. Cleanliness & Furniture: The accommodations were severely lacking. The furniture was in terrible shape and stained. Worse, there was visible mold in the shower and large, greasy, sticky stains inside the bedside cabinets. Between the lack of cleanliness and the poor customer service, this place was a major disappointment. Save your money and book somewhere else.

Older property, somewhat clean but was very affordable for me ,parking was slanted on hill best part is that hotel was walking distance to beach and boardwalk 👍

Great location and price.

The rooms were very dirty. The parking is extremely steep and tight. I drive a SUV and was very hard to maneuver to get out. We were lucky that we had a tent. We left our suitcases in the room and slept at New Brighton campground. Basically the room was good for parking and walking to the boardwalk. I mostly don’t leave bad review but focus on cleanliness and making sure the toilets flush is important for a paying customer. Also the floor will make your socks black.

Good location for the travellers!

The room was dirty, bathroom tub was clogged, water smelled, poor customer service, overall horrible stay. We asked to check out early and be refunded the days we didn’t stay. The hotel was so bad we checked out early and stayed at the hotel behind it, which was so much nicer. We didn’t get a refund for the night we didn’t stay. They made excuses why they didn’t want to refund. Do not recommend this hotel at all.

I had no problem parking. Staff was very kind. Bring your own coffee/coffee pot if you want AM coffee. You only get 2 tiny bars of soap. Walking distance to the beach is just a few minutes walk! The room was very clean. Bed comfy. AC at night was perfect & kept the room cool. No noise from upper level which was nice! It was pricy for the weekend but overall I was very happy.

The room was nice and clean, but the restroom was not clean how it should’ve been. There was still hair on the side of the tub and the towels are not washed properly. They do need to get rid of their old house and put new ones in and specially their pillows are wore out. They definitely need to upgrade.

It’s right around the corner from the wharf and down the street from the boardwalk. The staff was very friendly. The parking is very steep, but that is to be expected in this area.

Super close to the beach and free parking. Not the most upscale place but good for sleeping and getting ready for the day. Would stay again. Also had a ocean view!

It was perfect for what we needed, a place to rest and sleep in between going to the beach and the boardwalk. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would stay there again.

We had a great stay! The hotel was very clean, quiet, and in a perfect location—just a short walk to both the Boardwalk and the Wharf. The convenience made our trip even more enjoyable. The only thing I wish they had was more amenities, but overall it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again.
